I'm not a health nut, but overall it was a peaceful time with my wife. No pressure and healthy environment. My wife has heart issues, and ate here with her. Overall pretty good!
Non existent service. Our server was sitting at the bar on her phone for our entire visit. The grilled cheese was incredibly dry, and after we told our server the chef came out to our table and very rudely asked what we meant by the sandwich being dry. I'd heard great things about this place, but I will never return.
Wowza. Wowza Wowza!!! My hearts desire that I found this great restaurant and awesome server Mellissa. I was looking for Gluten Free while in Wichita which is harder than you think. Sunday, June 18 on a whim I walked into this little cafe and asked the server IF they had Gluten Free. Well, they do and can make just about anything GF. I had Pancakes, Tofu eggs, Sweet Potato hash browns and it was all fantastic. To top it off the coffee is yumtastic and I left with a piece of Vegan peanut butter cheese cake for an early afternoon delight. This place ROCKS the gluten free scene and I wish I would of found this place earlier in my stay. The good news is that I’ll be back Lotus Leaf Thanks for Rocking my Sunday with food that I can actually eat and not suffer from I stand behind my reviews and am proud to post my name and email to this one. If you are gluten free or vegan hot this place up you won’t be disappointed. Michael Richards [email protected]
Our server, Michelle was so attentive & sweet! She provided great service. The food was amazing. We ordered the Black Bean Burger & Grilled Cheese. It was phenomenal. We will definitely be coming back!
Very allergy friendly! Just let them know about your allergies, and they will take care of you! Our waitress was amazing and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the black bean burger and the ginger peach tea! The soup of the day is always a win! We will definitely be back. It was so nice sitting down at a restaurant and not stressing about my allergies.
Vegetarian options: So many great vegan and vegetarian options
Decided to check out Lotus Leaf Cafe on my trip to Wichita, as I was having difficulties finding restaurants that carried more than one or two vegetarian options.I would say Lotus Leaf was good enough to eat there again, but the prices for the tacos that I had was a little high. You do get 2 huge cauliflower tacos and a side salad. The tacos were too much to eat all in one sitting, and the soft shell it was in was kind of oily from the cauliflower. However, because there was so much oil, it was inedible the next day.My boyfriend had the chicken salad sandwich and he said it was good, but nothing memorable. We also ordered a juice (Hulk Smash) and smoothie (anti-oxidant revitalized) which were what you would expect. A little pricey, but good enough to order again. The waitstaff was very friendly and service was prompt. The outside seating area is cute and cozy for warmer days.Overall, I would eat here again because of the variety of choices for vegetarian food.
A hidden Jem in Wichita for fresh and healthy food if your looking your something clean. Our server was super great, wish I had gotten her name. Their spa water made with fresh strawberries and carrots is refreshing. I had the pressed Turkey sandwich and it was actually very flavorful, not bland at all. Will definitely be coming again soon.
Wow! It’s been a while but came by wanting their red pepper quezo. It was better than I remembered. It was very chill. The waiter was very patient. The food is delicious. Definitely recommend.
I'm loving my great health breakfast! This place is so good! It's one of a very few healthy restaurants in town! If you're looking to make those new year's resolution come true, choose this healthy choice! SUPPORT LOCAL!
Since I am in Kansas I will throw this caveat. This is the best celiac friendly place I have been in Kansas so far. When I rate this it isn’t from someone who says GF means celiac friendly, I have been To many highly GF rated restaurants and have become sick, Due to cross contamination. Not with this place. When you enter you see a clean and pleasant environment. The staff is friendly and pleasant. For our drink we had a Winter Wonderland tea. Out of all the teas o have had it was very subtle and not overwhelming. We started off with the smoking pumpkin. This was my wife’s favorite of the night. Creamy pumpkin you can dip your sweet potato chips into. A hint of smoke and the light flavors of pumpkin hit the taste buds followed by the taste of sweet potato and the salt finishes and compliments the pumpkin. The Zucchini Noodles where on point. Not over cooked with a slight crispness. For those who are very sensitive to red pepper it will be hard to move past that and that was the case for my wife. I however tasted a wonderful balance between the cashew sauce and the red pepper flake. The red peppers also gave it a subtle sweetness.Last but not least the black Betty salad was a black bean burger served on a bed of lettuce with a lemon vinaigrette. I enjoyed each and every bightFinally, the Lemon Blueberry cheesecake. I do not get to enjoy many deserts and enjoyed this one. I wish there was a little more blueberry flavor. The amount of sugar utilized cut some of the flavor of the blueberry and in the blueberry cheesecake portion there was a grittiness to it. At first I thought it was the almond crust but found it on a couple of other bights.Overall it was a great experience and would recommend anyone to go and try it.It would have received a five however I have had some wonderful cuisine from other states that make this place a four star. This is still a must try if you come to Wichita.

We stopped by Lotus passing through on a road trip home. We will definitely be back. Lots of vegan options, and the portions where generous. Which works well for us as we are a family of five. Everything we had was soo good!
So. Last Monday my husband and I tried Lotus Leaf. It was amazing. The next day, Tuesday he called me and asked me to pick up lunch from there because he was craving the meal I had. I went in to order at 10:50, and the door was opened and unlocked and another person had entered. Not paying attention I went in and was rudely informed they don’t open till 11. I apologized, asked for a menu cause I was just ordering Togo and was going to wait outside. She said she would take my order and put it in at 11. I ignored her rudeness because I was at fault for coming in 5-10 minutes early.Well fast forward today. I had the menu, remember they didn’t open till 11 so I waited till 11:30 and went in to order myself an Omelette.Upon entering the same girl- Jessie??-(broken arm) was again rude. When I went to order my breakfast she informed me in a tone that they don’t serve breakfast on Tuesdays. I was confused because the menu I have doesn’t say that anywhere. Well so I started to look through a menu and just settled on a smoothie. So while waiting I remember the door had a note also about breakfast. I went to look at it and again- very confusing.I mention to the server they may want to change the sign because it is confusing on when breakfast is served. And she rolled her eyes and told me to read the bottom where it says breakfast is only served on Wed- Sat only till 11.I am attaching the menu I was given last Tuesday and a picture on the door of the breakfast sign with hours. I cannot be the only one who thinks this is confusing. And this was only my 3rd time there and to be treated so rudely is just not tolerable to me. I was a new customer and all though I totally recommend the food- the customer service from this girl has been horrible and I won’t be back.
First time visit. Sat outside. Nice atmosphere and accommodating wait staff. Was sad to find they only have the breakfast menu available on Sundays. I ended up getting two a la carte items: hash browns and a banana pancake. Both were good. My friend got the acai bowl and really enjoyed it. Prices are reflective of the ingredients used. You definitely feel you are eating healthy here.
Vegetarian options: They have plenty of vegetarian options available
Dietary restrictions: They will accommodate dietary restrictions if possible
I absolutely adore this place. The food is amazing. If you really like healthy food, this is absolutely the place to go. The atmosphere is great and the food is priced pretty decent. It's definitely worth it too. They have a lot of sandwiches and smoothies and juice drinks for which the menu lists the health benefits.
This place is AMAZING! Typing this review up while still enjoying my meal, as I couldn't wait. The food is some of the best I have had. The veggie omelet was cooked to perfection. You simply MUST try the buckwheat banana pancakes. Coffee was delicious. The staff is super friendly without being overbearing. The head chef/owner came out to make sure we were happy with everything.I cannot recommend Lotus Leaf Cafe highly enough. I'd give 6 or 7 stars if I could!
