I used to love mcalisters, so much I even got a job here However the people at this location act really friendly upfront but in reality if you are not "normal" they only judge and gossip about it, the ADULTS act like high schoolers. Unless you're rich and white, they don't want you there. And especially not if you're disabled. I found bugs in the food and ingredients far too many times, and nobody else was ever alarmed in regards to food safety. If you order on doordash they'll give you a sandwich that has been sitting out for hours, or cut corners like not even cooking the bacon (which intensely smells like dog food) just because it's a delivery. Im not the kind of person to leave a bad review, but I can't let people keep eating here if they don't know about the lack of care for food safety, including how one of the managers is constantly vaping in the kitchen and back of house.
The way I was treated was as if I wasn't a person. You're better off going to the Maple and Ridge location, save yourself a headache.
Oh and they are withholding my paycheck.

Before I was really into food, and just enjoyed going to lunch, I used to visit McAllister's Deli quite often. So today, I figured, why not pay them another visit. I ended up ordering a French Dip. I'm always a sucker for one when I see it on a menu. It's also my go to at McAllister's. It was phenomenal like usual. I'm not sure what they do with their roast beef here, but it's always got the best flavor. The melted provolone atop the meat, along with the fresh bread, it's hard to go wrong. The Au Jus is simple. Basically beef broth. But delicious to dip your sandwich in. The Mac and Cheese was basic, but super creamy. Pretty heavy on the stomach so I didn't end up finishing it. I did also order a sweet tea. McAllister's is supposed to be famous for their teas. Let's just say, it could use a tad bit more sugar. All in all, I really enjoyed McAlister's a ton. I remember why I used to love this place.
P.S. Don't let the foodie community guilt you into only eating at small, family owned restaurants. There's nothing wrong with hitting up a chain every once in awhile. I mean, there's a reason places like McAlister's stay busy. Quality product.

It would really be nice to at some point get everything we ordered in a take out order. Always seems to be at least one or two things missing. It's mostly smaller sides, but it's been a sandwich in the past well. Instead of coupons after the fact, having the actual items we've purchased in the order would be more beneficial since you can't be fed with a coupon in the moment.

I order the BLTA with no mayo. More often than not I end up with mayo somewhere on sandwich. Either in the greens or somewhere in the bread. It's like they see, oops no mayo and try to fix without making new sandwich.
It's McAlister's If you like it, you like it You don't you don't. I miss the bread bowls
