Today I had a frustrating experience at McDonald's. I was picking up a DoorDash and I placed an order through the mobile app and paid, but when I arrived to pick it up, the staff couldn't find it. I showed Adamari, one of the employees, my email receipt with the order number and proof of payment, but she claimed she couldn't find the order. She called over her coworker Itzel, who also couldn't locate the order and stated that they couldn't provide a refund or food. I explained that I had already paid and was getting upset, and Itzel mentioned that the payment was pending and there was a possibility they wouldn't receive the money. I pointed out that as a customer, there was also a possibility I wouldn’t get my money back or my food since they were refusing to give me either one.

The conversation became heated, and instead of trying to resolve the issue, Adamari and Itzel ignored me and began helping other customers who were behind me in line. I had to wait until they were finished serving others before I could even get their attention again. When I reiterated my issue, they finally re-checked my receipt and handed over my order. To make matters worse, I noticed that they were smirking at me, which added to my frustration. The only reason they help me is because I didn’t leave the counter and I had to ask them again that they needed to do something because I just wanted my money or my food. I also asked for the general manager’s name, but they claim that they can’t give the information out. Which might be true, but the whole experience was unprofessional.

The entire experience was unprofessional and felt very disrespectful. As a paying customer, I expect better service, especially from a large chain like McDonald's. I'm disappointed that I was treated this way and hope that the staff receives additional training on customer service and conflict resolution.

Technical issues happen, but if I’m showing you my receipt and order number proof of payment, I think the best thing to do is agree that the customer is right and do the best thing to resolve the situation. Ignoring me because you don’t want to help me and helping other customers instead is completely unprofessional and rude!

Sorry, and I should add that. There was one person that was kind and helpful and he was a young man, but I did not catch his name. He had curly hair and he apologized for the experience and he was cleaning out in the lobby and also taking peoples orders because it was pretty busy. It’s important that you guys know that he helped make the situation a little better with his kindness.

For nobody eating inside the place was very dirty and the floor was very sticky with every step I took. Ordered numerous items that should have had the monopoly pieces on them and not one had one.

Ordered ahead and still stood at the counter for 20 min. Wasted everyone's time. All employees involved were arguing speaking spanish. Nothing done to resolve the delay, not even am apology.
