Recently finding excessive salt in both beef and chicken. When asked staff whether it can be reduced, they said No , all our meat is pre-marinated. Dropping 1 star for that. Meddy’s cooking management, please do something about it.

I usually love the Meddys Greenwich location because the employees are genuinely kind and welcoming. That’s why today stood out in the worst way. The atmosphere was tense, quiet, and honestly uncomfortable. When I asked one of the employees if everything was okay, I was told that the manager, Brendaline, had made one of the younger staff members cry the night before. Hearing that a 19-year-old employee who is already struggling financially was treated so harshly over food was incredibly upsetting. Regardless of policies, there is a way to handle situations with empathy and basic human decency. From what I was told, that compassion was completely missing. It didn’t come across as “being strict” — it came across as demeaning. This isn’t the first time I’ve heard concerning things about this manager either. A friend of mine previously worked at another Meddys location and had interactions with Brendaline that were equally discouraging, including being made to feel insecure about her job when requesting time off to care for a sick family member. Management sets the tone, and when leadership lacks empathy, everyone feels it — customers included. Watching young employees walk on eggshells or clearly feel emotionally drained is heartbreaking. No one, especially teenagers, should feel dehumanized at work. The staff deserves better. Customers can feel the difference when people are treated poorly behind the scenes. What made this even harder to hear is that this young employee is already under financial stress. My friend and I have decided to help her by getting her groceries and food so she doesn’t have to worry about that on top of being mistreated at work. No one should be pushed to that point by a manager’s behavior. If this employee were to be fired, punished, or targeted for what happened or for speaking up, that would be deeply unfortunate and only further highlight the issues with leadership at this location. Employees should feel safe, supported, and protected — not fearful of retaliation.

I ordered through DoorDash and my driver picked up the wrong order. Usually when this happens, it’s a huge headache. I called the store and they were so apologetic and INSTANTLY had someone from the store bring it to me. That customer service is unheard of these days. Thank you so much for taking care of this so quickly. And food was amazing as always. Thank you Meddys, Greenwich!!
