We came here for my husband birthday last night and OH. MY. GOD. The food is so mind blowingly flavorful. I had the coconut curry hot pot since I'm a vegetarian and I am already planning to go back this week. Apparently the Vietnamese mom starts each broth early in the morning and let them cook all day to build flavor which is also why they don't open until 4, because she won't serve the broths until they are perfect and it takes until 4. Then we also got to try the mango sticky rice. Dude. As good as the meal was, the sticky rice was equally amazing. It warmed something in my soul that has been dead for awhile. You will not regret coming to this place.

The food was delicious! We went here to celebrate my daughter's birthday and the host was friendly and mentioned that his mom homemade all the fantastic food! A wonderful family business. He also kindly gave us a dish of sticky rice & mango to celebrate. 🎉 My hubby & I especially enjoyed the crab rangoons and my daughter loved the egg rolls, but everything was good. Next time we want to try the hot pot.

Reviews were right. This place is amazing. I had the skewers meal and kimchi ramen. Food is cooked to order and just high quality. Staff is so friendly and offer great recommendations. They treat you like family.

The food was great and loved chatting with the owner. We came in for their 2 for $45 deal on hot pot and was not disappointed. The owner walks you through if this is your first time and offers wonderful recommendations. Will definitely be going back.
Really great meal! We did a split pot between the oxtail hot pot and the Tom yum hot pot! The owner said his mother simmers the hot pot broth for about 8 hours prior to the restaurant even being open! The clams were huge and everything was truly amazing. Would definitely revisit!

This was our 1st time dining at Daikon Cafe, and we had the Oxtail Hotpot. Soup was most delicious and flavorful, and where else in Wichita will you find this delicacy? We added noodles, veggies, steak, chicken, shrimp to the soup, and we enjoyed it all. I'd go back just for the oxtail soup!

Came to try the new Wonton soup and it was a 10/10 the broth is super delicious and has a nice sweetness to it. The wontons are also super tender and packed with flavor.

We came in late, but they still welcomed us with big smiles. The owner is Vietnamese, and as a Vietnamese family, we can say the food is legit. Fresh seafood, perfect seasoning, hand-made dumplings, and they even served lẩu the old-school way on a little gas stove—felt just like Vietnam! Highly recommend if you want real flavors and warm vibes.
