As a devoted In-n-Out proponent, I do have to admit - this burger was pretty dang good.
Despite being branded as “crumbly,” the meat is very flavorful and stays together nicely.
The root beer is top tier, and all the ingredients were freshly prepared, coming together to make a very nice burger.
Cute little diner atmosphere is a really nice way to spend a meal with the family.
They also have a secondary menu with “additional options” like a BBQ bacon burger, deluxe burger, and tater tots.
Servers at this location were very kind and efficient, and they seem to cater well to having small kids around.
Will go back when visiting Wichita!

Last Nuway here and I never make it over that way so when I was over there I stopped in. I gave it 3 stars because my burgers were dry and barley any meat! Being the last one and the original i thought it would have lived up to the ones that got closed down. I ordered 4 large Nuway burgers and with in those 4 it was enough meat for 1. The garlic salad was old and tasted old. The onion rings were great and a full sized order. If I do go back I will make sure to check my food before I leave!

A place that use to bring me joy is now just a shadow of its former self. Terrible customer service. Food is half as good as it use to be. Will never come back after our last visit, ignored while the server walked around a took orders from people that came in after us. Terrible joke of a company. After the old man passed there was no hope that his son could carry the mantle, RIP nuway.

My Wichita native buddy insisted I get the onion rings.
They were actually quite disappointing - stringy, limp, batter falling off. The NuWay burger is definitely different. i'll give it 4 stars for originality and 3 stars for flavor. I mean come on - it's boiled hamburger meat.

Always good...a Wichita landmark. Food and service are always excellent. So sad that the Douglas location is the only one left. I don't get to go as often now. I used to go to the Central one and then when it closed, the Harry one...I would also visit the other two on Ridge, and on Seneca when I went to bowling. But I rarely get down on Douglas.

We ordered our food to go with little expectations. The food was okay, the hot dogs are delicious. The root beer is fantastic! The garlic salad is coleslaw that isnt sweet just garlicky. I probably wont order it again but it was very interesting! The fries and onion rings are bland and a bit underdone. The atmosphere is very small and clostraphobic everything is sort of packed in so that is why we took it to go. The waiter gentleman was very pleasant, the other staff was not as pleasant but it didn't ruin our visit. Overall I'll definitely be back for a hotdog and rootbeer float! And I will try their chili next time it looked good.

We stopped at the Central and Ridge Road site on Monday 08.26.24 around 2 pm. The service was terrible, I ran out of Rootbeer and did not get a refill like always, the famous Rootbeer. The food was very plain and had no taste, which is unusual because we have eaten there before with no problems. The atmosphere was dirty looking like no one cares. The floor could use a good scrubbing and wax. The pop area a great scrubbing and the whole place a good cleaning. Staff was very not caring atmosphere and it really showed. We will probably not stop there again. Oh the sandwiches were on the cool side. I guess what I'm saying is no one seems to care anymore and I'm not real sure why. Thanks for the memories and bye.
