Olive Garden Italian Restaurant

My friend and I went in earlier this evening and our server, Kayelynn (I don't remember how to spell her name I am so sorry) was absolutely amazing!! It's only her first week and she did such a fantastic job helping us!! 11/10 best server

We love their alfredos, but I decided to try something new. Chicken Marsala with a side of mashed potatoes. The chicken was so tough and very salty. The potatoes had a strange flavor- almost a bitter aftertaste.

We stopped for a late lunch. Our server was terrific; she was friendly, helpful and cheerful (just what we needed after a stressful morning).

Do not order to go from Olive Garden in Derby on any holiday. They had orders waiting over 50 minutes. Ours included, we would have been able to eat in there and left prior to getting our order to go. Food wasn't hot when received. We and many others received a $50 gift card as a "sorry". Management and staff wasn't worried about orders getting out. Staff was gabbing. Management was trying to get shift changed. We spent over 70 on food. Bought breadsticks extra pasta and everything. Breadsticks burnt. Food cold beside the top one. Salad on the very bottom. Very disappointed. Wish they had just turned off the to go since they were so back up because of over 1000 to go orders and 800 seated orders.

There are a few reasons for the bad review. First our appetizer, shrimp frito misto, came out overcooked to the point where it was gummy and had no breading so we sent it back. Second, our lasagna classico portions were toddler sized. For almost $19.00, you would think they would be bigger than they were. Never had that small of a portion at any Olive Garden restaurant before. However, the worst part of our dining experience was our server, Mary. She was an older gal that didn't smile. At all. She never asked if we wanted drink refills. She didn't ask how the food was. I had to ask for a refill of salad and bread because she never asked if we wanted one. Towards the end of our meal, she approached the table and asked if we were paying with cash or card. When I told her card, she grabbed the small kiosk on the table and said that she was sure we knew how to use it and then said she couldn't figure out why the red light on top was blinking, but that it had been doing it all not. That was false. I had pushed the "Call Server" button on it which made it start blinking......something that she had completely ignored. We will definitely stick to the West side of town when we want Olive Garden. They are nice and friendly and have never had an issue at that restaurant.

They are always good. I had Alfredo with crispy chicken. Endless salad, a glass of Moscato, French bread 🥖, delicious!

I really wanted to like it, but it was difficult to enjoy because of the stale breadsticks, dirty dishes, and mediocre food priced too high.
