I’ve never enjoyed a meal here. Constantly dirty. Owner wears acrylics and handles food. Wonder what the other employees are doing to it if the standard is already that low for the owner. They also can’t handle critiques about opening during bad weather and trying to convince the older people who are willing to eat the bland mess that is their menu to come in. I will literally never go here without being dragged in. The staff is also slow and rude. Don’t waste your time. Much better mom and pop breakfast places to go to.

I have been a regular to all three riverside cafes over the years, I ate at the Derby location the day before this reviewed meal and it was wonderful. Today I ordered the same meal I often get and the quality has declined. It seems like the line cook, definitely not a chef, does not know what scrambled eggs are. He fried an egg and then chopped it up. One time would be an accident but this was the second time in a row he/she did the same thing. I mentioned it both times without resolution after the first episode. The hash-browns were barely warm and the last visit the were burnt. Inconsistency and poor quality will make this a no return spot for me and that's sad since it close to work.

I used to come for the pancakes!! Now, unfortunately I probably won't be back. The new owners have made a mess of everything. Not the same and the prices have went up dramatically!! I ordered a single pancake and a side of ham, they charged me $14 and some change!! I can go to Honegrown for that. It's really sad.. I know the business has dropped because I go that route everyday. It's not busy like it used too. The cinnamon roll was ok.. I'm glad I took it home, I added some pecans and a dash of cinnamon and sugar to give it some flair and taste. It's not the same, and it shows. Very sad and disappointed.

I was impressed with my first visit and will be going back.
This place has gone downhill because I used to like it. Service okay. Got breakfast skillet and was disappointed. Had to return it because they put too much gravy u could wash your hand on it. Too much cheese you could barely see the egg or sausage. Cinnamon had too much liquid icing. Not impressed with the food at all for the price they charge.

Ordered biscuits and gravy, top biscuit was very dry, bottom half was burnt. Waitress was surprised and took it back. I refused to have it reordered. She was very apologetic and offered me a punch card that needed 4 more meals before I would get a free one. I at first refused it but took it upon her insistance. The restaurant charged me full price for the top half of a biscuit. Won't darken those doors again.
