Went last night with my boyfriend, his roommate and his girlfriend!!! Our waitress was so nice and the food was delicious!!! We will definitely be returning!!!
Thanksgiving day meal was cold and tasted horrible and was served with very poor service. Meal for 4 over $350. Seemed more like Corporate Caterers serving at S&S. Big black eye. S&S is supposed to be one of the premier restaurants in Wichita. Not that day.
Dark woods and classy atmosphere. We stopped for an early dinner. Food service was a little slow but the drinks were perfect. My Manhattan was very good, wife had 2 martinis that she said were exactly what she wanted, rarely has a 2nd so must have been excellent.
Her French onion soup was delicious, i got a taste. Her steak was a bit dry, my halibut was slightly undercooked.
Overall nice place to visit but we live 650 miles away so probably not returning.

I want to be very clear- my review is solely regarding their Lunch service. I have never been pleased with their dinner service.
Service each time I have been for lunch is wonderful. The servers are fantastic, the food fresh and delicious and reasonable priced. I have not had a single bad lunch here. Some of my favorites include the chicken fried steak, steak kabobs, hot beef sandwich, fried catfish and club.
There is not much in town that competes for lunch for this level of service and delicious food.

It's a fantastic place. It is one of the best restaurants in Wichita. Service and staff are flawless. The food was perfect. Options are huge within a steak house menu.
Ample off street free parking.
Bug facilities with different areas, private rooms, and bar area with TVs. It is a great place to watch sports with a good steak and scotch or wine glass.
Excellent ambiance. Great value prices on steaks, too. Loved it.

For all the hype and being one of the best steak restaurants in Wichita, it was okay. For the price, I don’t know why I expected more. The food did not impress my taste bud. My salmon and veggies were burnt. Calamari was good. Prime rib was delicious. Service was okay. For the type of restaurant, I expected more service and better food.

We shared a tomahawk steak that was cooked to perfection. The Lobster Mac was good. My only complaint is the Brussels we're burnt which was upsetting that's one of my favorite side dishes.

Fabulous food, wine, service, and atmosphere. The place is the quintessential steakhouse. Great quality cuts of steak, starters and sides were delicious. The wine list is excellent and extensive. Highly recommended…we loved everything about the place!

Delicious and always a great place for lunch or dinner for business or romantic evening. Capon livers, catfish, prime rib sandwich and the chopped steak are all amazing lunch options. The french onion soup is a must. Always delicious and reasonable prices. Check out the prime rib sandwich too.

The food was immaculate, no complaints there. Our server, Bianca, was not.
Bianca, if you’re reading this, here are my points of feedback from someone who also spent 10+yrs in the fine dining industry.
1a) look at things before you bring them to the customers table. If something is obviously wrong, get the kitchen/ bar to fix/measure it before you bring it to the table. Don’t “go to bat” for us when we say it’s wrong. We shouldn’t have to tell you that something is a taster sip of scotch, and obviously not a double. 0.5 ounces looks very different than 2.5 ounces.
1b) this goes along with not bringing out things that are obviously wrong: take responsibility for issues your tables experience, rather than providing excuses or shifting blame. Just say “oh yeah that’s not what you ordered, I’m so sorry and I’ll be right back with it.” People aren’t dumb, they can tell. Treat them that way.
2) show every table in your section the same level of respect and service, especially if they’re right next to each other. Obvious preference for one table, then dismissiveness/avoidance for the other will make the other feel singled out and intentionally ignored.
3) if you’re going to box up a customers food then box up everything they paid for. If someone ordered sides, or sauces that cost extra, then those should go in the box. If you don’t have to-go ramekins, just ask “is it ok if I put this with everything else? I don’t have a container for it so it might mix with other things. Is that ok?” That would be better than just throwing out the food they paid for.
I might not be surprised to see these issues at Red Robin, but they weren’t right for a place like Scotch and Sirloin. These are basic things that should be a given.
Normally I never go below a 20% tip, and let it go up from there. You were the first 18% tip we’ve given in many years. If I hadn’t been in the industry so long and didn’t know what it’s like to be in FOH as a server, we might have stiffed you.
