Beef, rice casserole was a mistake, very little rice. Mostly green peppers and onion chunks discarded, over priced. No wonder nobody else was there for Friday lunch. Waitress dropped off another ice tea without being asked. $5 tip left feeling sorry for her

I bought a peach pie w/ strudel. I was very disappointed with the flavor and texture. I couldn’t get a slice of pie out without it falling apart.

Pumpkin cheesecake! Spear's pie is the very best! They even have a few sugar free options. The interior is a bit drab and antiquated, but that's ok. Try their pumpkin bread!

Spears has been a go to for me in Wichita since I lived there for a few years. They're great people with great food.

I wish I could do half stars because the I would give a 4.5.

Pros:
The food is reasonably priced and they gove you large portions. The quality and taste of the food is also superb.

The service staff are kind and courteous and treat you like family.

Cons:
The food does take a bit to get to the table, but it is worth it.

The restuarant is a bit dated in the design but I personally think it adds to the charater.

Rude staff, served NASTY food then GOT CHARGED FOR IT, went to check out and they tried to DOUBLE CHARGE! Manager is also the only cook, refused to “remake” food even though he BURNT most of it!

Went there for all you can eat buffet the food was horrible made me very sick had to go to the bathroom very quickly after eating the food

We had sandwiches they are so as pretty straightforward. Bread was okay though a little dried out. Meats were good. Cheese decent, veg & fruits very good.

Had a slice of two different pies. One chocolate chiffon & 1 coconut cream. They looked yummo though the sugar content was way high... I could taste the sugar granules. Tells me a tad too much sugar.

The atmosphere is quaint and has a bar front which is nice for a qwk set down, eat and dash.

Men's bathrooms were not in a good and clean order. Looks like it has been a day since they were cleaned.

Overall the experience was adequate. Would go a 2nd time and if q better experience then Yay. If not then Nay.

Outside of food the #1 thing for me is clean, dusted and sanitized (bathrooms). Also professional people (service). They had good service.

Husband and I are there Friday night, buffet. He had never ate there but have had the pies before. Me, ate there many years ago but never the buffet. We will not eat at this place again. The food was not to appetizing by looks and taste. Salad ? was great. Fresh and tasted good along with the dressing of choice. Maybe they should just stick with the pies. They also say us in a booth that was way to small.
