Sweet Basil's lunch buffet is a hidden gem in Wichita. They offer a nice salad bar, fresh lasagna, chicken wings, chicken teriyaki, rice, veggies, and a few other delicious options daily. The food is always hit and fresh and never taste like it's been sitting on a buffet for long. The ambiance is nice and works great for informal small lunch gatherings or discussion with a friend. The staff are always friendly and very attentive to the customers. I've been going for years and never had a bad experience.
We had a long wait for our food considering how few people were there. Once our food arrived it was loop warm except for my steak. I think they had to thaw it out first before they could cook it which made the rest of the food cool off. The coconut shrimp seemed under cooked and doughie. One bite and we had a waxy coating inside our mouths. We won't be going back.
Sweet Basil always satisfies. Their lasagna and garlic bread is amazing. Thank you once again Charlie. You and your staff are awesome.
Steaks are excellent. Cozy we love it
Fairly good but unable to consume any alcoholic drinks due to their license renewal being delayed. Other than that it was fine
Went for lunch and ate the buffet. Was amazing food and service was great. Definitely a must every time we visit Wichita!
Omigosh! Food was absolutely DELICIOUS! Service was lovely ... prices very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food we got. It was amazing.... we'll be going back again and again!
They have really good food, friendly and knowledgeable staff. A family favorite for years. The brunch was a little lacking but dinner menu is always delicious!!
Went for Sunday brunch expecting Italian food. Nope. There was all kinds of bland American dishes (fried chicken, mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese) and even Chinese food? There was lasagna and a seafood pasta but I can only recommend the lasagna as it was good. Wasn't offered a drink and we only got water so I'm not sure if there is one included in the buffet price but it's $16 a person. Definitely not worth it and won't be back.
Sweet Basil is so popular that sometimes the owner really packs the customers in to try to accommodate their patrons. The prices are very reasonable and if you choose the Buffet Bar you can't go wrong with anything included on the bar. The food is very tasty and the service we have found to excellent. My wife loves their Cheesecake. Great place to take your special someone if you want to have a great meal without braking the bank. We give the restaurant two thumbs up!

Lunch buffet is wonderful. It's not a big buffet, however it is very well done. Very good food. Enjoyable atmosphere
Not a big fan of the buffet type setting. The choices are limited but not bad to eat. The building has been remodeled and looks great. The layout is open, inviting, and comfortable. Sweet Basil is good if you want a quick bite with Italian style food.
Great Brunch, Buffets and Dinners. The service and atmosphere are welcoming. Do not expect to leave the resteraunt without being totally satisfied and full. The prices are very reasonable for families.
It's a hidden gem. I have only tried their lunch buffet so far but as far as that goes it was great. Dont expect some big buffet tables it's just a simple salad bar with a 4 foot heating area for lunch dishes and small counter space for dessert. The service was great and the quality of food was awesome and filling. I actually ate to much to try the dessert but the cheesecake looked good. A little more than I like to pay for an everyday lunch but I will visit again.
I have been wanting to try sweet basil for 18 years and finally made it here. It did not disappoint. The best pasta I have had!
