I want to preface this review with saying that this review has a happy ending.Initially when I went in for the first time on Easter Sunday, I had a negative experience. I ordered two meals:-Chicken Carbonara for my dad.-A Salmon dish topped with pistachios for myself. After waiting about 15-20 minutes, the salmon was brought out along with a empty plate and I ended up finishing the dish roughly 10 minutes later.Noticing how my dad still hadn't received his food yet, I asked our waiter if there was any hold up. (Already 30 minutes had elapsed since ordering). The waiter went to check on the order and said "that due to lack of chicken breasts, they had to spend extra time prepping the meat and that it should be out shortly." So we patiently waited. Another roughly 30 minutes had elapsed when we called for another waiter to check on the dish. The waiter came back saying that "the meal had been bumped off the list even though it was not made and that she will have them make it and bring it out soon." Frustrated with the situation I asked how long it generally takes for the meal to be prepped. She replied "8 minutes." So we waited for our meal to be brought out. The total amount of time that had elapsed before we received our meal was over an hour and some 15-30 minutes.Frustrated, we had left before my dad had even gotten a chance to take a bite of his meal because we were late to our Easter plans with our family. I relayed my complaints with shift lead at the time and they comped the chicken dish.Because we were in such a hurry to leave, I ended up forgetting my wallet on the seat there.Following the next business day they were open, the owner of The Belmont personally drove out to where I worked to hand deliver me my wallet along with a hand written note of apology, a $50 gift card, and $40 cash to pay back for the salmon meal I had ordered.More than anything, they emphasized that they wanted another shot at providing the customer service experience they were known to give and it makes me want to give them another shot.A little effort to show appreciation to a customer can go a very long way and I thank them for caring.

This is a very beautiful and unique restuarant in Wichita. I took my 12 y/o out to eat here looking to try something new and different. The ambiance was very modern and elegant however our food choice did not match the aesthetic IMO. We had the pimento crab dip and chips which I would gracously give a 4/10. I could barely taste any crab and the bits that I could taste were just plain old 'fishy'. The pimento was also overpowering and the heavy kettle chips did not pair well with the dip at all. I followed the appetizer up with a ribeye steak, mashed potatoes and asparagus. I would rate the steak a 4/10. I could have made a better steak on my stove. There was almost no sear or char to outside partially due to the glaze on top (totally unecessary for a ribeye steak). The steak did not taste freshly ccoked as if they cooked the steak earlier that day and reheated it in the microwave. My son tasted a bite and called it 'mid' for the same reason. My son did order a ham and cheese sandwich with fries that he absolutely loved so that did save our experience. The customer service was also excellent so that definitely raised our rating. I will dine again but next time I will go with the bruschetta as our waitress recommended.

I give the food a 3 because everything I’ve gone I’ve gotten the same thing and that’s mainly because while they have a well variety of foods, most of them just aren’t my type. But the service these people provide are great! I enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant and the service is always top notch! The workers really make this place great!

The atmosphere and cocktails are hard to beat. Love their bruschetta and fried green tomatoes..I am so sick of the same breakfast menu for brunch and cannot understand for the life of me can’t understand why the hashbrowns look like something that came from McDonald’s and they’re good with it.

I love the atmosphere here. Also the service is great.I think a change of menu and bring their pricing in line with the market would benifit this place.

My husband and I arrived here at 745 for dinner on NYE. We were celebrating our anniversary. There was a small wait, we were sat at 820pm. Another couple was sat right next to us. We were told they were closing at 9. We already had a beverage from Sparky’s next door and knew what appetizer we wanted. We sat without being greeted for about 20 minutes. The table next to us were greeted, ordered drinks and food. Our drinks were empty, we were ready to order all our food. As we waited, we saw some family on their way out, chatting. This is when I finally noticed a waiter around and asked to get our appetizer going and ordered another beverage. Our brief interaction with our family ended. He came back and apologized and ensured it was on its way. The appetizer came along with our drinks and things seemed to be looking up. Until someone else took the empty plates, never asking us if we wanted anything else. We sat again for 10-15 minutes. My husband had to get up and get another person to order our main course. We noticed people were leaving because it was 915pm. At this point we were both disappointed and frustrated. Someone else came by and said our food will be out soon, we asked for our food to go. The couple that was sat at the same time was walking out before we got it. The same guy who took our empty plates without speaking to us, told us our food was coming out soon, and who gave us our check said, “We took care of $50 of your bill. You still owe X amount of $$$” without asking us if we wanted to take a look at the bill - we gave him cash and left with the food. We never knew who was to be taking care of us, never got anyone’s name, and felt dismissed. This experience may have ruined my outlook on this place. Such a great environment and food. The service… very poor.

The food is incredible! Everything I have had since Christmas time has been delicious. Bruschetta is on point! Wait staff is so kind and courteous. The vibe is refined but laid back!

First thing I have to say, is what a beautiful restaurant this is. It really gives off an upscale cafe vibe. The booths were velvet and curved so my boyfriend and I could sit next to each other comfortable with the wide windows offering a great amount of sunlight in. There was also an upstairs section that wasn't open during lunch time with an amazing bar section in the middle of the restaurant with shelves going high up to the ceiling. The servers were quite attentive and friendly, everyone coming to refill our drinks whenever it was near empty. The food was heavenly; the salmon appetizer tasted so fresh and the sandwiches with sides made us full and happy. I personally wasn't too happy about the croissant bun I had with my chicken salad sandwich, as it fell apart immediately and I was left to eat it with my utensils. It was a little dry, but still delicious. I would personally recommend the second sandwich, which I believe was a sourdough Philly/steak sandwich of some sort. Definitely would recommend a visit here.
