Love Tom's. Great food, generous portions, fair prices. Family that owns the restaurant is wonderful. They were recently closed for vacation. Will they reopen for lunch and/or dinner service Tuesday through Friday? Or as hours suggest will they be open only on Saturday and Sunday for dim sum?

Every visit is for weekend brunch dim sum. Solid lineup and good quality. Consistently meets my expectations. I’ve had better dim sum and service but at least up to standards. I don’t go to any place in town for dim sum.

Some dishes were a little smaller than what I am used to back in CA (besides the turnip cake which was pretty thick, but not bad) but can't complain too much considering there isn't any dim sum places around so I appreciate having an option. Service was quick.

Very mediocre dim sum. Service was great, but the food was a bit cold and dry. Service and staff were great though Pork Buns had a okay taste to it- the bun had a flour aftertaste Ha gao was a bit dry, has a bit too much flour wrapping around the shrimp Pork shumai was dry and a bit chewy.

Tom’s Lotus Garden, 822 S. Broadway in Wichita — Eleven violations on July 30 during a routine inspection. An inch-wide gap around a screen door can let pests in the building, the restaurant didn’t stop operating and notify the department of agriculture that it had an “imminent health hazard” due to a pest infestation, several foods in refrigeration including pork and shrimp weren’t labeled with their preparation dates, dozens of roaches were scattered throughout the restaurant including in a dry food storage area and in areas where clean dishes are stored, broken and unused equipment is cluttering the basement, dirty handles on kitchen hand-washing sink, a bottle of degreaser wasn’t labeled, a glue trap with at least 50 roaches on it was sitting on top of the ice machine and several pieces of ice in the machine had black spots on them, garlic and oil mixture was sitting out at room temperature when it should be refrigerated, raw shrimp and rice noodles were sitting in sinks that have a direct connection to the sewage system, the restaurant “needs a deep clean to remove grease and food debris from the floors under equipment.” The restaurant voluntarily shut down over the violations. It was still out of compliance, with one violation, during a reopening inspection on Aug. 5.

Food here is a hit or miss. Squid and calamari were good. Dimsum classics were a fail. Dry, hard food (the Shumai and Harkow)from that had probably been reheated several times and presented to us first thing this Saturday morning. Epic fail. A little disappointed that we were unaware of this before driving from OKC perhaps we may have stayed back rather than venturing out of state and paying hard earned dollars on this. Nice service though, wish you guys could pay some more attention to the food you served. It tasted like cardboard and I’m sad to say we won’t be coming back.
