Overrated! Food was average at best. We will not return. Everything was bland. The decor was the best thing about this place.
Overpriced for bland food.Had high expectations, more than willing to give them a chance but was greatly disappointed. Felt like a wasted evening out. Would not recommend!
Had amazing drinks for a best friends birthday and had the schnitzel it was really good the gravy was amazing. Had the Manhattan and some different cocktails. Very good. Wife had the scallops they undercooked a few but they replaced each one of them and were very apologetic. Everything was amazing. Will have to come back. Service was perfect. She was super nice.
This was my first time at Vora and had a birthday in their private room this past weekend. My group was large and loud, but the waiter accommodated us with great patience. He needs a raise! Great atmosphere and good food.
This place is marginal. The service is not what I would expect from a up scale Restaurant. We ordered two appetizers at separate times, and they did not taste the same. I am not sure if one of them sat in the kitchen for a while before the waiter brought it out. I was not impressed.
Wonderful service, food was as delicious as we expected. Our server Kendra gave 110% effort, making sure our glass stayed full and checking to see that we were satisfied with everything.
I was very excited to try this restaurant when I stopped by on a Saturday with a friend. I had heard good things and we were looking to splurge for a special occasion. Unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences of my life. It was dead when we came in and the host was not interested in seating us, he was at the bar and made a big show of sighing and putting his jacket back on and very slowly walking over. Then no one wanted to service us. We received menus and were told that Nathan would help us. Then Bonnie. No one ever came back. We waited 30mins before getting up to leave. We could see everyone standing around talking and laughing from where we were sitting. I assumed they would try to stop us as we put on our coats but instead they ran to hold the door for us and said have a nice day with big smiles on their faces. It was very clear that they wanted us to leave. Humiliated, we could only assume we didn't look well dressed enough to bother with. This was despite the fact that we were planning to order bottle service as well as multiple dishes to celebrate. I have worked in service fields and I would never dream of treating someone like that. I would advise anyone reading this to save themselves the snobbery and pick another restaurant for your future fine dining experiences.
First time I’d ever been was today and I brought my Mother. The food was excellent, ordered mixed drinks from the bar that were terrific, huge cut of prime rib that was so tender (awesome) and Hannah, our server, was VERY ATTENTIVE and spot on. Floor manager even came by our table to ask about our experience. I give 5 out of 5 stars. I’ll certainly recommend and be back.
5/5 on service
great food, fair pricing..
Food was great. Service was excellent. But the size of pizza is too large for one or two people. Dessert was really good!
Took my wife for Valentines Day. Not really a great experience. The wait staff seems undertrained. The waitress was spilling the wine when she poured it. Food was brought to the wrong tables. The biggest disappointment was the food. My wife had the Crispy Duck. It was very dry. I had the Veal. It was tough. The meat lacked flavor on both dishes. This wouldn't be my first choice or even my tenth choice.
We went for the first time for Valentine's Day. The service was very good. The food was excellent. My filet was cooked to perfection. It was one of the best I've had in a long time. The strawberry cheesecake was very good as well. I hope they offer it year round because I plan to go back!
We love Vora! As Wichitans know there is a seeming endless supply of great places to eat in their city. Vora ups the game with their cuisine, hospitality and attention to details. Do yourself a favor by paying them a visit for dinner and experience a true treasure in Wichita’s fine dining scene.
I have been waiting to try the crispy duck for weeks, when I finally got it... was not crispy at all, got good seasoning but was not what I was craving!!! Service was good, but I didn't have a server that knew much about their wines. At the end I was very disappointed on their military policy discount...they only discount around $3.50 out of a bill of $120 ! They were saying they only discount it for my plate. My advice to the restaurant...don't do that, either do a good discount like everyone else or don't do anything.
We went to Vora on a date and we're enamored Wirth the vibe, diverse menu, and atmosphere. Everything we oredered was delicious, though I will say the complimentary bread wasn't great. It tasted like it had been baked then covered and the steam made it chewy and tough to eat. However, our entire dining experience wasn't tainted by that. My paella was outstanding and my husband loved the duck. We will be back for sure.
Excellent meal! Lovely decor and phenomenal staff. Will definitely visit again, got the Crispy Half-Duck tonight.
All I can say is that the food is amazing! My friends and I have been here before, but I only had drinks... this time we had a variety of food and everything was awesome. If you want great food, drinks and fun atmosphere, then check this place out for sure!
We had a party of 16, which can be hard to accommodate, but we all left pleased! The employees were all friendly, there was a large selection of food for brunch, and it was all delicious! The mimosa juice bar was creative and had 5 different juices. We will be back!
Vora was great last night. The food was yummy and I loved my cocktail...although I forgot the name, Lol but we were in a pretty big group and everyone had drinks that they loved. Also the staff was friendly and the food came out exceptionally fast. Thumbs up to Vora! We'll all be back soon.
We've been wanting to go here for awhile and after finally making it I can say with confidence we will be back. Great happy hour specials, food and service and the prices are great! Be sure to ask for Bonnie as a server because she did an exceptional job!
This restaurant is lovely. Went in with high expectations because the Wine Dive is a favorite. It did not disappoint. The escargot was served traditionally in the shell and was perfectly seasoned. The french onion soup was very good. The surprise was there were seasoned croutons used instead of bread giving it an interesting extra flavor. The veal was very tender and served with mashed potatoes and vegetables and the sauce was just a little spicy. The crispy half duck was cooked to perfection and was a very large portion served with mashed potatoes, green beans almandine. They served a fresh bread with crushed red pepper and spices in olive oil. This was refreshing and a change of pace as the bread was unique and most restaurants are serving olive oil and balsamic. We saved room for dessert and the 4 chocolate cake with chocolate ganache was to die for. This was s great meal, our waitress Kendra was a delight knowing just when to be there and kept the timing just right. This is a definite go to
Vora was fun this weekend. We ate and had some really good drinks. I was impressed with their staff and the place looks really cool inside. I'll be back soon and would recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area that hasn't been there yet.
"We do everything in our power to not discount sub-par service or food"
Vora was great on Saturday night. I'm super impressed with their staff, they are friendly and make the experience that much more enjoyable.. At least the waitress that we had! The food was really good for the price and I'm glad to recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Wichita area for sure.
Last week was my family's 1st visit to Vora. I ordered the lasagna and it was SO GOOD! It had three types of meat and to me the most important thing is the sauce and I must say I was very pleased with it. We are definitely eating there again.
Wonderful happy hour and service. Calamari was very good. My friend had the French onion soup and it was delicious. Must try the French 75 (?) drink during happy hour. That cherry at the end is lovely!
Took forever. Still waiting on my pork chop. Waiter keeps apologizing. But not doing a thing about it. 0/10 would not recommend
I love the ambience and location of this restaurant. It doesn't feel like typical Wichita. The happy hour menu is decent (calamari was good). I loved the daquiri drink--really tasty! I went with a group and we each ordered something different. I think I probably liked my dish the least. I had the Chicken Spiedini. The chicken itself tasted fine but I felt like it was missing something more saucy to make it more complete. It also kinda seemed more like an appetizer. If I didn't order the side of brussel sprouts I would have still been hungry. The other dishes that my friends ordered were a lot larger than mine. Our of all our dishes I tried (each dish had good flavor), I enjoyed the Parisian Chicken and that's probably what I'll order next time.
Vora was great! Our food was delicious, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very warm and inviting. I'm not the biggest fan of dinning out, but I'm glad my friend recommended Vora to us. We will be back for sure! Oh and I love there deserts! OMG so good.
Definitely an add to the brunch places in Wichita since there aren't that many. They had a prime rib and waffle station which was nice. The mimosa's are served with a glass of champagne and then a juice and fruit bar to make it your own. The salmon and prosciutto were on point! Probably could have just ate that! The desserts were lacking compared to another brunch fave but the blueberry purree with my French toast made up for it. Definitely had quality for the price!
Absolutely delicious food, was there for a catered party so did not have much choice but everything I tasted was out of this world. The house wine was really decent. Wait staff very friendly. Very modern and nice decor. Has the feeling of upscale without being overpriced. It should have taken off a point for ordering medium rare steak and receiving medium to well done, but the reduction was so delicious I would still give it five stars.
Everything from the greeting, to the charcuterie plate, to the Parisian Chicken, to the server Michael (who went above and beyond to ensure my daughter enjoyed her food) was exemplary. I will be here the next time I'm in town. Thanks guys and keep it up!
Tremendous food, service and ambience. It costs 40 bucks to eat at Applebees. Spend just a few bucks more and you and your life partner will have a genuine night on the town...Right now, there is no better restaurant in our city.
Order with WichitaToGo and it was delicious. We got the calamari, chicken spendini, roasted duck, and palea. We added the mushrooms as well. Our favorite was the duck and palea. The duck cane with a cranberry sauce that was phenomenal. The palea was a little watery but so flavorful. For being to go everything was perfect and we were not disappointed. Will have to go in one of these days when we have a sitter.
First time visit for dinner with friends. so pleasantly surprised but varied menu! chose the Schnitzel & bierock for German theme. many other choices for next time.
First time there today. Went during happy hour. Wonderful atmosphere. Beverage menu itself is plentiful. Tried mussels with fries, oysters, Cesar salad with salmon, orange roughy, and a side of roasted mushrooms with the bacon and peppers. This was all for me and my spouse. It was all so delicious. I can't wait to go back and try their pizza. I am so impressed with this restaurant. A new go to place for me!!
One of my absolute favorite places to dine. The cocktails were amazing and the food was phenomenal. Knowledgable staff with a fancy atmosphere. I highly recommend it!
I was very disappointed with our meal. The service was stellar. We had an experienced server and a trainee who attended to our every need without being overbearing. The bartender prepared lovely gimlets that we enjoyed thoroughly. Parking was easy, the facility was lovely and well appointed... ... and then the meal came. The appetizer was actually pretty good, but it led to a meal that was a real disappointment. My husband's schnitzel was a generous portion, but was sadly so mediocre that we didn't bother to bring the boxed leftovers home. My veal was just average, but priced at a high end rate. To finish up the disappointing dinner, the bread pudding was not just overcooked - it was literally burned, so badly that it was inedible. At this price point, it's not an experience we will bother to repeat. There are better meals in Wichita at better prices, I'm most sorry to say.
The food and service is fantastic.Best calamari I've ever had. The wine selection and cocktails are great. It's quiet enough to hear your companions but still feels lively. The atmosphere is relaxed and upscale. Excited to go back again when I visit!
