What a selection on Whiskey! Very warm inside though like the AC couldn't keep up

Iconic and popular bar in Wichita and simply the best bar food for a small buck. Their starters are my favourite in town, especially the wings and quesadillas. Unbeatable prices during Happy Hour, but it's always packed! So hard to get a parking spot before 6 pm. Their drinks are awesome too, obviously they have a great whiskey selection, but I am also a big fan of their cocktails. Again, so cheap for what you get! Servers are hit and miss, so that's the only minus. Been going there since 2019 and it has definitely grown in popularity!

Well, I was pleasantly surprised. The bartender John was very polite and attentive to my needs. The mixed drinks were good, and so was the beer. The prices were great. I came alone but the people were friendly and sociable. I wanted to stay longer but I had other business to attend to. I will definitely be back, and maybe bring some friends next time. I had a good time.

A group of us (all female 30's/40's) went on a Friday afternoon at lunch for a friend's birthday. She got to choose where to go and decided on WD for lunch and drinks on the patio. We got the perfect spot outside but ended up having to track down the waitress to get our first drinks ordered. She had walked by our table numerous times and hadn't even acknowledged us. Each time we needed anything we had to flag her down.. drinks, the menus, when it was time to order, when it was time to pay. She acted like we were an inconvenience. However, there were two other tables outside, guys only, and they got every bit of her attention. She checked on them constantly, talked with them etc. She even had to walk past our table each time to get to theirs and never once asked how we were doing or if we needed anything. I will say we all liked the food and really wanted to like this place but I guess you have to have the 'D' to get service at Whiskey Dicks.

The Butter Burger was great. The French Dip sandwich was slightly above average, as were the house-made potato chips that came with it. The real bummer were the onion rings. The breading was very thick & heavy (think fried chicken). The staff were very friendly.
