Stopped in for a late lunch as we were traveling through the area. The bbq was delicious and will definetly return and recommend to others!
Service was excellent food was better than excellent probably going back this weekend
A nice small town restaurant. Had a turkey sandwich omg what a pleasant surprise, great tasting and moist, not dry like most turkey you get at other places. The ribs are what their known for, will try them next time.

Guy and Mae's have been around for years and is still a great place for ribs, beer, and smoked meats. Plenty of street parking. They do NOT take credit/debit cards so bring cash or plan to use their ATM.
The atmosphere here is not as good as pre-covid because they cleaned the place up and used all the hanging money to stay afloat during Covid lockdowns. They were not allowed to continue the practice, I think for fire risk concerns. Highly recommend trying this place out!

We read about G & M's in an article about local BBQ. We are from Arizona but were staying at a small RV park in the next town over. We stopped into G & M's on a Thursday night, just in time for the chicken special. We ordered a half of a chicken and a full rack of ribs, plus a draft beer, served in a mason jar mug. The food was incredible, we really appreciated the sauce on the side, which was served in a similar mason jar container. My husband also love the hot pickles and the side of baked beans and cole slaw. Even though it's a tavern, it was very family friendly, clean and decorated with fun old fashioned touches. Did I mention the ribs were fall off the bone? But the best thing about this tavern inn restaurant is the service. Our waitress kept an eye on us, offering whatever we needed. In fact, I stupidly left my wallet sitting on the table after we left and went back to our campground. About 45 minutes later I received a phone call from the staff. Not only had they found my wallet, but they took the time to dig through it and find my business card with my phone number on it. Our waitress remembered that we had been camping and we're on our way to Iowa. She knew that traveling without my wallet would be a disaster. TV worthy BBQ, great atmosphere, easy parking and the BEST people. Definitely worth the trip wherever you live. We will definitely be back on our next trip through the area.
