It's effortless to forget you're in Kentucky when you're sipping on a Bahama Mama or Sunrise Sunset smoothie. The fresh, fruity smells and pleasant staff add to the laid-back, seaside environment. It's also a surprisingly excellent spot to get work done—there's a ton of seating, reliable Wi-Fi, and just the right amount of environmental noise to help you concentrate. I usually bring my schoolwork here to catch up on it or read while enjoying something refreshing and nutritious. Tropical Smoothie Cafe is great if you're looking to relax, refuel after the gym, or study in a chill setting; it's the perfect tropical getaway.“

At first sip, it had a strong taste of kale, of course. It tasting better the more I drank it. I feel better, afterwards. I have much more energy and the vitamins I needed. The apples were fresh and the kale slaw was excellent!

“Absolutely the BEST Tropical Smoothie in Lexington!
The Tropical Smoothie on Helmdale Place, Suite 390 in Lexington is hands down the best location I’ve ever visited. The service is consistently amazing, and the staff is always friendly, welcoming, and extremely accommodating. You can tell they truly care about their customers and take pride in what they do. The food and smoothies are always fresh, high quality, and made with care.
I always place a special order, and they never miss it. My smoothie is made exactly the way I request every single time, which is rare and so appreciated. They listen, pay attention to details, and always get the order right—no rushing, no attitude, just excellent customer service.
The atmosphere is positive, the team works well together, and everything runs smoothly even during busy times. This location truly sets the standard for what customer service should look like. If you want a perfectly made smoothie and top-notch service, this is the place to go. I won’t visit any other Tropical Smoothie in Lexington!“
“Usually, great. This visit my smoothy was not sweet at all. I asked for no sugar, but sweetener. They left it out. My thai chicken wrap had almost no sauce on it. They did apologize and offered to remake my smoothy. I just hate the waste, so I declined. I just took it home and added my own sweetener.“
