Was recommended by a friend, put our name in and 45min later when we decided we would just leave,we were next to have our name called 🙄after countless people came in and put their names in and were seated within 10 minutes 🤷🏻‍♂️ appears the locals are favored here!! Do not recommend, will never be back, I’ve had better fish at Captin D’s! Ham and beans- no flavor/corn bread-no flavor/ fried chicken-not impressed! I guess the only thing I would say was good was the water in my glass. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!

I recommend this place to everyone. The food is delicious. Very clean and friendly environment as well. There may be a little wait but its definitely worth the wait.

We ate there Saturday we got there rite as it opened so not much of a wait at all . It was our first time to eat there and won’t be our last. They have the best home cooking i have ever had at restaurant! The pork chops were delicious and the sliced tomatoes off the salad bar were the best . It was well worth the hour and 45 min drive to eat there.

Been to the Dinner Bell many times. Hands down the best home cooking in the area. It’s a unique experience with seating at picnic tables with others, but we’ve always enjoyed chatting with our neighbors. Best service and cobbler you will find. All that and the price is reasonable. They give a military and police/fire discount. Limited days/hours make this place very popular. A must do if you’re in the area on the days they are open.

This is not an intimate dinning type restaurant. Tables are 10 foot or so long picnic type tables and you share space with other patrons. From the well stocked salad bar to the very generous selection of hot food every thing is buffet style. Hot food buffet is in a bit of a crowded alcove where you do meet the other dinners and get opinions on the various dishes. All in all this "homey" family type of atmosphere works well here, much more than a lot of places where I have seen it done. I found only one dish to avoid and that was the pickled Okra on the salad bar it was limp and vinegary. Biggest draw backs were food was too good and you will over eat and the restrooms were outside "round to the side" of the building (modern plumbing) sort of fit in with the overall feel of the place..

Country cookin' at a fair price and it's good too! I grew up eating this and now only get back on my once a year pilgrimage back to KY Lake. Thank you, Dinner Bell, for doing what you do and keeping it good.

If you leave here hungry then you hate food! Simply love this place. The fried Catfish and Chicken was top notch. Not many places like this anywhere anymore. Buffet style with many, many options. Salad/Desert bar was loaded. And the cast iron pan Cornbread , well yea it was awsome!

Long wait for this buffet-style place. Very small and quite cramped. Very friendly server. Buffet was uninspired. Chicken was primary dark meat and barely warm. Pork chops were overcooked and spiced oddly. Would not come again
