I’ve never had the food, but I got the boba. I ordered a brown sugar boba and the tapioca pearls were not good. They were weirdly shaped and really squishy, and they tasted almost like meat. The tea was also pretty questionable, it was watery and looked like coffee instead of a brown sugar milk tea. It didn’t even taste like brown sugar, more like coffee. The vibes were great, the place was cute, but the boba I ordered was not good.

I’m a regular to Yamato’s for the simple fact they are so friendly food is delicious and it’s a plus they know exactly what I want every time without even saying it. I do like the same thing but it’s nice that they’ll come up and say Alice you want regular, remember your name that’s a plus !

77 on Sanitation score 10/8/24! Beware! Started to eat here 10/19/24 but bailed due to sticky floor and ick feeling overall. Then looked up recent reviews and sanitation grade.

I don't usually leave reviews but the meat my husband ordered was noticeably old tasting (like about to expire) and when we told the waiter when he asked if we wanted a box for the untouched food that it was inedible bc of the end-of-life meat he said "okay"

I also was charged for an item I didn't receive. I made them take it off but this is basic stuff they are messing up !

If I'm being picky our entrees also came out 20 min apart from each other (this is not an exaggeration) - we both ordered normal things so this was very disappointing.

Y'all have a cool interior but just show some more care about food quality, service and cleanliness (sticky floors ewww).

Maybe this was on me but I love supporting independent businesses. Hope y'all get your issues sorted out!

We have been customers, of this restaurant, for YEARS! We have had a few issues before, but after tonight, we will NOT be back! Tonight, October 2024, ant anpproxi 5:15pm. There was a total of 2 people working; a server & a cook. When we arrived, we told her we were ready to order, because we KNEW what we wanted and didn’t need a menu. After placing our order, the server came back to our table and advised us that we could not SHARE a meal w/ an extra plate. As she apologized, she then asked if we wanted 2 Bento boxes! First of all, times are hard for EVERYONE these days! We CHOSE your establishment over ALL of the other Berea, restaurants. You should’ve been grateful & thankful for the business, & left it at that! Secondly, no one is going to tell us what we can & cannot order! We were JUST in there, last week and shared the chicken bento box ($20) & not a word was said to us! It’s a rather LARGE & expensive meal, so it’s not like we ordered a side of rice! Third, as we advised the server, we will never be back! You can bet your bottom dollar on THIS one! If you need a reference, please see #1  again!
The food is OKAY. The service, at times, is good. The establishment is somewhat clean, but is not the best, esthetically.

Service was slow, forgetful, incorrect.
Hibachi chicken vegetables was fair 3.5 star. Rice bland no flavor 2 star.
Miso soup was just terrible.
Salad why bother.
Portion size was very generous.
Table was sticky,service had a lot to improve on.

My daughter and I were from out of town. We decided to eat here. About 3 weeks ago. Her hibachi chicken was good. My dragon roll tasted horrible. I told the waiter. He didn't care. Made me pay for it anyway.

I hate to write a negative review because the people were pretty nice but it’s just not worth the money. As soon as I walked in I seen a huge bug that looked like a roach and I’m sure it’s not the only one, see in photo. And the food just wasn’t good. There’s not much else I can say. There’s one sushi restaurant in Richmond I usually go to because it’s so good and compared to that sushi it’s just awful. Just not very fresh.
