I met some friends at 3pm on a Saturday. Parking and seating availability was no problem. Service and food were excellent. The large pizza is VERY large (you have been warned). As we left at 5:30 ish, there were no parking spots available. So, timing is everything.

The restaurant is along the Ohio River so we moved our cars to the parking area near a walking path and benches.

Had lunch for the first time at Jailhouse 🍕 and it was a great experience. Wasn't overcrowded, and the food was awesome.

Why no beef?
But, the cheese was browned to a golden perfection. And, if you've read my Squire Boone's caverns review, then you know about candle maker par exquisite Everlee. ( I am spelling her name phonetically. ) My wife and I delivered a pizza to her since she recommended Jail House Pizza.

Little but of a wait on a Sunday evening, well worth the wait. Stromboli is the way to go

My buddy and I went to jail house pizza in Brandenburg today their pizza is amazing. We got a 18-in deluxe pizza for like $30 it was well worth the 45-minute drive.

Food was only "okay". Service was slow. The meatballs were tasteless and dry.

First time here, not busy, multiple servers sitting and doing nothing yet the dining room was dirty. The hostess barely wiped our table off leaving food smeared on the table
The pizza was good, our server was friendly.
The building is cute and a great view, if they would clean their windows ...

Service was super slow and there were not many people eating or waiting. Pizza was burnt after the 2 hour wait. Had to walk around to find servers chatting for my drink refill. Don't plan on going back

I am so glad I had a spur of the moment idea to go hike and eat at Jailhouse Pizza. The pizza was fresh, the fried pickles were on point, and the garlic knots were fire!! I will be back. The history alone is appealing, but the food makes you want to come back for more!

We arrived at Jailhouse Pizza at about 5:30 PM on a Friday evening and were seated immediately. The dining room was about half full. After about 10 minutes, the hostess came to apologize that there was a mix-up regarding which server was supposed to handle our table. After another 5 minutes, a server finally took our order. In the meantime, another family of 4 had already been seated next to us and had their order taken.
We ordered two pizzas and a salad. The salad was ordered without onions, and one of the two pizzas (mine) - a small deluxe – was ordered without olives.

The salad arrived reasonably quickly – with onions. It was eaten anyway.

At about 6:25 – almost an hour after we had arrived – the server showed up with two pizzas, and apologized that another server had taken the pizza I had ordered without olives, so she brought me another deluxe – with olives – offering to allow me to keep it while she ordered another like my original order. I don’t like olives, and removing them from a pizza with so many toppings does not work. I told her to take the wrong pizza back and skip the replacement, noting that I’d already waited an hour.

I skipped my dinner while the other two members of my party finished their pizza.

In the meantime, the family of four who had been seated after us had been served and eaten their dinner and left.

When she delivered the check, our server noted that she did not charge me for my pizza – seemingly as if I should appreciate that gesture.

As I was leaving, I asked to see the manager. When he asked what the problem was, it was apparent that he was not aware of the problem. His only reaction? “I’m sorry, man…”

I think that the manager should have been informed of the problem when it happened, and visited us at our table. He should have asked what could be done to make it right.

Net: it took nearly an hour to get our food, two orders were screwed up (the salad and the misplaced pizza), and management’s response was totally lacking.

We will not eat here again, and will share our experience with others.

We live near here and had never made it over the bridge to try it. It was delicious! And fairly priced. We got the Prisoners Last Request pizza. It was not what I expected, but SO good. It was not terribly busy on Saturday about 2. The food came out pretty fast. The place was clean with indoor or outdoor seating, with a great view of the river front and bridge. The walls are covered with local newspapers and photos from long ago. You can see 4 of the old jail cells still intact. Cool old building. Our server, Taylor, went out of her way to give us a perfect first visit. The parking lot has a step paved entry then a big gravel lot with stairs up to the restaurant. Accessible lot to skip stairs if needed.
