Lori was an amazing instructor to my newbie sourdough experience! I had reached out about dates and she happily created a Sunday class for us that worked for our scheduled. We drove 3.5 hours to the mill house and it was totally worth it!!!!! Our breads were amazing and the knowledge priceless but her guest service was above and beyond.

My friend and I attended an excellent pasta making class here just yesterday! I had never heard of this place or the owners before, but will certainly be back for more classes and to just eat at this cozy restaurant!!!

We attended a sour dough pizza class and loved it! We both learned so much from Lori and really enjoyed the pizzas we made at the class. Highly recommend checking this hidden gem out!

The pasta class I recently attended was excellent! It was very well organized, and I left the class with the confidence to try making pasta and sauces on my own. The instructors made everyone feel welcome, and took the time to answer questions as we were learning. I look forward to scheduling another class with them soon.

Attending a pasta-making class at The Kentucky Millstone was an unforgettable experience filled with warmth, learning, and delicious food.
I attended the class with my best friend (who highly recommended The Kentucky Millstone after attending their sourdough class earlier this year). I had high expectations but was completely blown away. From the second we stepped foot through the door, we were treated like old friends. Lori and Tom were incredibly kind, patient, and informative instructors who went out of their way to cater the class to my dietary restrictions, ensuring I could fully enjoy the experience. We left with full hearts and even fuller bellies. PLUS, we learned how to make several pasta shapes and three incredible sauces.
I have already signed up for two more classes at The Kentucky Millstone and am so excited! If I didn't live an hour and a half away, I would stop by their café as often as I possibly could.

Such a fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon! Lori has her own technique of working with pastry dough, and it's worth the trip to take the class!

Attended a bagel class. Lori and Tom are such nice people and really love what they do. We learned so much in 2 hours. The final product was amazing. Lori also sent us home with other yummy pastries. They were all so delicious. Will definitely attend another class

They were wonderful. I wanted a very specialty cake ( gluten free, sugar free, chemical sweetener free) Lori was great about asking questions and getting the details just right. Not only was it a one of kind cake, it tasted so yummy which is hard to find with those kind of dietary restrictions. I am so grateful I went to them.
Dietary restrictions: Sugar free, gluten free, chemical sweetener free option.

I just took Chef Lori Himmelsbach’s Danish Pastry class at The Kentucky Millstone. It was incredible! Lori is a great teacher of this fun, hands-on class. She shares her vault of knowledge with students, and best of all - the Danish pastries we made were delicious. I baked more the next day at home, and they turned out looking beautiful and tasting like they came from a high-end patisserie.
Absolutely amazing homemade food great customer service!!
