I stopped to get breakfast.. I was wanting biscuits and gravy along with omelette and taters.. Well I really wanted homemade gravey.. no one makes it anymore.. people go to the can or power and water and add sausage.. that's what I got.. homefrys well those are deep fried sliced potatoes.. I was hoping for potatoes cooked on the grill . Place looked great.. great service.. I'm sure Thier burgers are better..
Have a good day ..

We had a late breakfast (noon). Pancakes were to die for: thick (fully cooked..no doughy center), large enough to cover 2/3 of the oval platter. Patty sausage, lightly spicy & very favorable. Eggs perfectly prepped as ordered. Super friendly, happy staff & atmosphere. Easy access off interstate with plenty of parking for trucks, RVs, passenger vehicles pulling a trailer. We're passing through but 50's Cafe will be long remembered & stand as the barometer for breakfast. Price was very reasonable.

Pretty cool place near Calvery City. It's a family owned place just off 24. Decor is fun and the locals seem to really like it as there were plenty of people there. I would say the only bad thing was that the burgers needed to be cooked longer. The meat was almost bloody and the buns had blood on it which really turned my wife off. I will definitely go back though and try some different food.

Family owned diner with one of the best 3 egg omelets I've ever had. I actually had leftovers! My wife ordered the pancakes and when I say they are big...... They were HUGE and DELICIOUS!

$15 +tip for a BLT, fries w/gravy and coffee. It was nothing to get excited about. There was a lot of bacon on it. The bread was so hard it fell apart(turned to xtra toasty crumbs) taking a bite and the tomato was old and soggy. I was finished with my meal before I could get the waitress to get me a coffee refill. The fries and gravy were really good and there was plenty of parking. The hostess/cashier was very nice and welcoming. Something else kind of strange was the young waitress was very friendly with locals and barely competent with travelers like myself. Overall it was just ok.

50’s Café is a retro gem! Fun vintage décor, friendly service, and delicious classic diner breakfast. The French toast was good, bacon perfectly crisp, and eggs cooked just right. A cozy, welcoming spot that makes you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. Highly recommend!
