Worth the side trip off of the highway. Staff were very welcoming. Daily specials for breakfast and lunch. Portions were huge and easily shareable. The club sandwich was stuffed with turkey, ham and bacon on Texas toast. The chili cheese hot dog was excellent- actually 2 full hot dogs on a toasted bun. The chili was delicious and full of meat. Had corn nuggets instead of fries and they were nice and crispy on the outside and creamy inside.

This is the ultimate small town mom and pop restaurant! Love these ladies! Always friendly, the food is really good. I get breakfast there often thru the drive thru, sausage egg and cheese biscuit and a Coke with no ice, $5!!! Awesome!

I’ve been on location for 6-7 months in Calvert City on project work. So finding a good place to have breakfast and lunch is always difficult. But, the ladies at CALVERT CAFE are the friendliest people and kindest you will meet. The food is terrific and service with a smile. My son came with me and is now back in college. But he’s always jealous when I tell him I’m having a Philly cheesesteak at Calvert Cafe. If you haven’t been you’re missing out.
