We live in Frankfort and stop by Welch’s every chance we get. Beautiful views, friendly staff, and great food. Highly recommend.

I went to Welch's Riverside Restaurant for dinner. The seafood food was well prepared and was a good value for the money. The hush puppies prepared by Carrie were some of the best ever. Great relaxing atmosphere with an amazing view of the river! The waitress this evening was very attentive. I will return.

We ate lunch there today. The staff was very friendly however, the service and food we’re not good at best. I ordered the fish sandwich, cod, I believe. It was a piece of fish out of a Gordon’s box that they may have baked in the oven. It was not good at all. It had no toppings on it whatsoever. I ordered my fish sandwich with a slice of cheese and that’s all they came on it. The cheese was literally Kroger brand at best and it looked like a piece of melted glue. My wife ordered a breakfast platter. She ordered the eggs over medium, and it basically looked like a glass of yellow water was poured on the plate. It was horrible. My Son ordered a hamburger and it looked like a processed burger out of a box that somebody beat with a hammer a few times to flatten it out. We have eaten there many times in the past when we go camping down at 2 Rivers. I have to be honest, we won’t be back. Unless something drastically changes with that place we are done. Normally I don’t give any establishment a review unless it’s amazing or horrible. In this case, horrible.

We decided to stop by this small town and support a local business, but our experience was far from what we expected. We ordered two steak and eggs meals, each priced at $24. Unfortunately, both ribeyes were mostly fat, rubbery, and overcooked. We couldn't even eat one of the meals and asked the manager to remove it from our bill. Initially, she only offered a $5 discount, and after much back and forth, she finally agreed to take off $15.

As a customer, if the food is of poor quality and goes uneaten, it seems fair that the full price of one meal should be removed from the bill. Instead, we were given a hard time and charged accordingly. The service was disappointing, the food was mediocre at best, and the management was unwilling to make things right. I wouldn't recommend this place. If you're looking to enjoy your meal, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere!

Nothing homemade about it. I got a cod sandwich, Cole slaw and fries expecting my fish to be fresh not a frozen Gortons fish patty that my waitress said it was after I told her I thought it would be homemade. She said if someone told me that they were lying. The fries were crinkle cut probably OreIda and the cole slaw was not homemade either. Basically it was fast food which they claim it not to be. I’m sure there are some items homemade but they claim it’s all homemade. So disappointing.
