Excellent food and super friendly staff. You have to give this place a chance if you're ever passing through. Also the only place close to get a ice cold beer or mixed drink.

Unfortunately have to give this place 2 stars due to the service. We were quoted a 30-45 min wait for a party of 8 last night which we were okay with. We ordered drinks from the bar and sat outside while we waited. Our buzzer rang and they sat us after about 40 mins. Then we sat there, and sat there, and sat there. We asked two different people who are server was and if they could send them to our table to order (a waitress that walked by and then the hostess). Finally our waitress comes and apologizes that she’s working the bar and no one told her she had a table…. Our table was seated around the corner from the bar back by the entrance and bathrooms. Why would that do that to this poor woman, and us? She took our orders and was right back to the bar. Someone else brought out our food and she never followed up to make sure everything came out correctly (which it didn’t) and no refills on drinks outside of her initial visit to the table. Thankfully the kitchen was fairly quick for 8 meals and the food was great! Which is why I’m giving any stars. There was an 18% automatic gratuity which was not at all deserved considering she came to our table ONCE other than to bring the check at the end. I understand she was put in a rough position as well since it was a Saturday night and the bar was packed but that is honestly on management. Poor communication and organization resulted in a subpar experience for us, especially for our first time there. Next time we will order to go since the kitchen seems to be the best part of this restaurant.

we went Saturday night and the food was terrible. waitress was awesome but need to stick to one menu, no need to change up every year if u cant keep good cooks. fajita chicken wrap was boiled chicken with no seasoning and all the catfish dinners was old and the quest and chips was deep fried tortillas and burnt with runny cheese, the only good thing was the pizza and onion rings!! the shrimp was even terrible! nice place but needs a good kitchen manager, I feel like they just worried about who's at the bar and how much they can make off of it instead of the people who just want to have dinner!

The restaurant has the best pizza I think I've had in a looooooong while! Get the supremem and add hot honey 😀
Also, they have the best cheesecake, hands down!

My bf and I discovered this place last year and decided to make it a yearly tradition to come here for the 4th. Our experience was amazing last year. We aren’t boat owners so it’s a convenient drive to the beach. We booked last minute this year and was told we got lucky because there was a last minute cancellation. However we went told the lake was closed to swimming due to recent flooding. All the beaches were closed. There were stains on the bed and flying bugs galore in our room. We explained the beach situation to the manager and ask if we could cancel our second night as the beach is what we came for. She said she could do 50% due to the probability of being able to rebook was slim. I explained we would have never booked if we would have been made aware the beaches were closed. We didn’t argue we decided to make the best of it and have dinner. Their restaurant is their saving grace. The food is amazing and the young servers are amazing. To top it off there would be no fireworks this year. Moral of this story I think they should make customers aware that unless you have a boat you have no access to the water. We didn’t stay the 2nd night and unfortunately probably won’t stay here again. We will eat there though. The experience just wasn’t what we had last year.

My husband and myself love Buoys we don't live locally and its very convenient if we get there later in the evening to stop in for a bite to eat. It's a lake restaurant people, and one of only few near Wax marina I have enjoyed almost everything I have gotten here, they serve alcohol and are lake front, plenty of marking as there in a huge lot for the marina right there as well. The owner is super nice, while service can be spotty at times in the summer they are very busy on the weekends I'd rather see a locally owned and operated business do well even if that means waiting a little longer for my food or beverage. If youve given it a try and didn't like it try again, and if you havent tried it don't let some of the negative reviews turn you away.

We love this place! Great atmosphere. Expect lake life prices. We have not seen the rooms yet.

Not enough parking @ all! Way out in the sticks! Nice karaoke environment, but it's over by the time you sing. 3 hours...7pm to 10pm. HUH!?!

Stop off at Buoys for some great bar food and a cold drink! Everything we got was pretty good tasting. Nothing here is overly fancy, but it all tastes great. Service has been hit or miss but seems to be getting better as the restaurant has been open longer. Views of the lake and marina make for a laid back feel. I highly recommend!
