Everything was perfect for our visit today. Food was hot and properly prepared. Our server was very efficient. We don’t live close to this location, but they could give lessons to the Cracker Barrel near our home. Will be back on our next visit to Corbin.
Absolutely disappointed with how down hill this place has gone. It use to be somewhat alright, but the quality and accuracy has truly gone down hill. Ordered food, literally was out of almost everything. Did carry-out, should have checked the food but didn't (so if you do order carryout, make sure they got it right). Messed up the order, for a second time in two months. The food is dryer out and not worth the price.
Waitress was wonderful!! Food was very good, restaurant was clean and comfy.
My server was so polite and efficient with her service.
We stopped in June 6th, close to 6 p.m. for a quick bite. We were seated promptly.
Our drinks arrived quickly.
Two bowls of soup were ordered, a side salad, and I ordered a grilled chicken salad.
After a lengthy wait, the two bowls of soup arrived barely warm and with no spoons, and the side salad was chopped nicely. However, the bacon crumbles were fatty and tough to chew per my companions.
I was informed by the waiter that the kitchen staff had dropped the salad.
My companions did not want to wait again to have the soup reheated.
They had finished their meals and drinks. Still no grilled chicken salad. I asked the waiter to make the salad to go and would eat it at the hotel.
Finally, the to go bag arrived. I pay our bill, and off we go.
At the hotel, I sat down to eat the salad. No napkins or silverware. The lettuce was cut in huge chunks and slimy at the bottom, the grape tomatoes were disgusting, cucumber slices tasted weird, a few sprinkles of cheese and the chicken was barely cut.
I ended up eating the chicken and throwing the rest of the salad away. I wish I had canceled the order.
I've never encountered such a bad experience before at a Cracker Barrel.
I tried to contact Cracker Barrel to lodge a complaint. However, the site was extremely slow, and when I hit to send, the entire complaint was wiped away.
I do not recommend this place. Breakfast may have been a better choice.
UPDATE
Cracker Barrel has amended the situation and apologized.
Perfect
Didn’t care for our dinner meals on two visits. However their breakfasts are always good.
the food is always good. i always get dumplings but sometimes i get fried chicken..
Ordered the new steak and shrimp bayou and was less than pleased, manager took off a portion of bill for the shrimp but: 1st and foremost the shrimp that came with diner was raw and uncooked and still semi frozen. 2nd the steak was tough and bland at best 3rd the bayou sauce really had no flavor. Biscuits was about the only decent part of the meal.
We went to a late dinner at the Corbin Ky location. Our last trip was not good and so we thought we would give it another try. It was Friday and I usually love the fish, not this time. The waitress was wonderful but the food was not good at all. The fish was extremely over cooked. The Mac and cheese was old and dried out. The chicken my spouse got was extremely overcooked almost to the point of burned. Both the biscuits and the cornbread were pitiful. Just overall not a good experience and for a $50 check definitely won’t be going back. That’s two times and both were not good. I wondered why the parking lot was so empty. Not sure what is the issue but needs improvement for sure.

Stopped at the Corbin, KY location on 3-26-2025. It was just after noon, so I expected a little wait. On hour and 18 minutes later, I was able to check out. We waited & waited & waited for our food. Finally, the waitress came by and told me that my food had been dropped in the kitchen and that they had to start anew. I flagged a “manager” down (he said he was a manager) and informed him of the situation. I never saw him again. Finally, at checkout, I mentioned it to the cashier, and she called for a different manager, and she made things better. However, it may be a long time before I stop there again. A very disappointing lunch experience.
Went back in the Corbin ky store this morning 1 /22 to give it another shot after disappointing service stood at the desk for a bit no one was around the folks in the retail part wouldn’t speak so ended up at the Waffle House for breakfast got taken care of immediately.
Food was good. Not accomodating to people with allergy issues. Gluten issues so asked them to not serve biscuits and gravy. Can't have potato casserole because of ingredients. They offered plain hashbrowns. Charged extra for them and would not substitute anything for biscuits and gravy nor discount meal.

It's been a while since my last CB visit. I am glad I made this visit to Corbin. The staff was on par in every way. Very welcoming, and attentive to my parties needs. The cashier was a delight!
