This location is the original Sanders Cafe (aka first ever KFC). Definitely recommend stopping to check out the free museum and learn more about the Colonel if you’re taking a roadtrip. The fried chicken I ordered was hot, fresh and crispy. So were the chicken tenders we tried!
It’s nice to be able to freely learn about the origins of popular American brands. This one’s got midwestern roots!

The “old” restaurant/museum was cool to see. Lots of old memorabilia in the back room. The entire store is VERY clean. The food is average kfc food. Don’t expect better food because it’s location.

This KFC is one of a series of REALLY AWFUL experiences I had on a cross-country road trip through the Midwest. I called this place to ask basic questions about burgers after having come from the Midwest area and first did not get a straight reply on my questions, was subsequently hung up one, and then proceeded to call back with no answer. I DO NOT understand why people at this KFC are so incompetent.
Please do a better job for the next customer. If company management is reading this review, please know staff at this locale have disappointed and let down your brand in my eyes!

I cant speak as far as the food goes but we do door dash at times for fun and we go to alot of different places to pick up and this is by far the slowest place there is. No its not because they are busy its because the male and female that makes the orders up front would rather talk to each other than make the orders. On top of that the male takes 2 mins to get the chicken from the holder to the bucket and the female just stands there like she's lost in time. Again can't speak on food taste but if ur doing door dash we have never been there and it took less than 20 min a order I will drop any future orders if I see its from there.

We ordered fried chicken but the chicken size was so big, seeing it we lost our appetite and had to literally throw the entire meal Total disappointment if the prices are going to be jumbo size

We had a not so nice encounter with a staff taking our order on August 15, 2025 at around 9:30 AM. She was very rude to us when we requested to have our chicken bucket be divided into half crispy and half original. This is a not a good customer experience especially that we drove 3 hours away just to be eat here. The food never tasted good because of this horrible experience.
Incorrect hours listed says they open at 930 however it was 947 when I stopped by and it was still closed

The restaurant portion was horrible. We waited 27 minutes for our order of simple two piece chicken and 5 piece tender. They said they were waiting on tenders, which is hogwash as they don’t take that long to fry. Wasn’t impressed with the work ethic of staff. As 20 people stood in the lobby waiting on their food to add insult to injury an employee talked with a customer she knew the whole time, people were looking at each and wondering why she wasn’t working as we all waited way to long. Unacceptable. The museum is a different review and was terrific.

Used the KFC app to order. The app stated my order was ready for pick up. I went in to pick up my order and it hadn’t even been started yet. I used to app to save time but it ended up costing me time. I do not recommend this location when ordering with the app.
