The carhops and cooks deserve 5/5, no question, but the food's gone downhill. Every year it's more expensive and not as good as the last. I grew up on the RBS, and it's not comparable to what it used to be, even just ten years ago.

You have to try it out. The root beer seems a little different than it used to but the food is still yummy.

My meal was delicious and the service was wonderful. I remember when this was an A&W drive-in. It is still great!

2 stars for atmosphere only because it's a very busy drive in. It's a local favorite.

We love this place! Best comfort food around...and those fries....oh my goodness.. they are so yummy and stay hot until after you finish your burger...yup its true. But, sad, now we have to wait until March 2024 for our next stop. Have a great winter...see you next year...at least weekly!Parking: Parking lot angels come here...just wish for it and an opening appearsKid-friendliness: Play area to make you wish you were a kid!

The Root Beer Stand is a Corbin landmark! The food is simple, greasy, and delicious, and that’s exactly what you should expect from a place like this! All the carhops are busy but friendly. I personally always get the foot long chili dog with onion rings and homemade root beer!

Food was pretty good. Great service. Friendly folks. You have to eat in your car, but that’s not a big problem. Enjoyed it.

The food is really good and prices are reasonable. Everytime we travel to corbin we go there to eat. I have only eaten the chili dogs and onion rings but I am sure the rest of the food is just as good.

This was my first time eating here. You pull up and someone comes to the car to take the order. I ordered a footlong hotdog with onion rings and I of course had to get a root beer float. Price was reasonable. The footlong was delicious and so was the root beer float. I really liked it and the waitress was very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

This place is *super* popular with the locals, but I haven't figured out why. Nostalgia, maybe? It was difficult to find a parking space. There was a long wait to place our order and a longer wait to get our food -- about 45 minutes. I thought the price was a little high, too. 2 small cheeseburgers, a small order of fries, and a small root beer was just shy of $16. The food wasn't bad, but nothing to write home about either. Certainly not worth the time and the money, imo. But at least I can say I've been there, now.

I visit here everytime I am in town. First the root beer tasted different so stopped getting that. Then the hot dogs (hot dog like a Vienna sausage texture) so switched to a Dixie Burger, now it is different (sauce the same, meat is tough). Got a chilli bun, it was ok. Guess I should be glad the changes were gradual but I don't think I will make the trip here again. I have lots of fond memories of this place, those won't change.
