I was looking forward so much to a nice steakhouse only to have a very disappointing experience. Service was extremely slow and my order was wrong when it finally arrived. The food itself wasn’t great, and when they tried to “make it right,” all they did was remove the appetizer from the bill which we had to ask them to do. No manager ever came by to apologize or address the issue. I won’t be back.

Reservation made via their website, told that link doesn't work so we didnt have a reservation. Told 30 min wait, went and sat at the bar to wait for a table. No one offered to take a drink order or an appetizer while we waited. 40 mins later, asked if we would be ok to continue to sit at the bar for service, would be an hour wait to get our food out.... this was 2 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon!!
This is horrible horrible customer service!!

The location and ambiance is nice. However, several menu items were not available,which was a big letdown. Even one of the daily specials lacked a few components-so perhaps should have been taken off the chalkboard. The little table lamps, while nice and needed, kept turning off and not staying on, server had to switch 3 or 4 times. We were in town for a comedy show at the Corbin Arena, which was sold out. Seems like most of the town services did not anticipate an uptick in demand. This could have been a contributing factor to the issues we faced at the Depot. A couple passed our table and commented that they had waited an hour and still not gotten their food--we also waited almost an hour.(I had a salad and cup of soup, the others in my party ordered sandwiches) All restaurant staff was excellent.

I made reservations about 2-3 weeks in advance knowing it would be busy before the Leann Morgan comedy show ...I want to first give the hostess kudos for being honest upon arrival. She stated we could be seated but we may not have our food before the show - reservation was at 5p and the show started at 7p. My group of 8 thought this didn't sound right so we sat and waited. The manger came by and satiated we would not have food by 7p. The Depot was so not prepared for this event and they knew it was coming for several months. Poor management - poor ownership. We left and had to find another location to eat. Shame on the owners and mangers for not being prepared - I'm sure missed out on making good $$ that day. And I'm sorry the wait staff had to deal with all those patrons and it's unfortunate that so many left because this would have been a great day for the wait staff on making extra $$.

The Depot on Main was excellent. Luckily we arrived early enough and they were not crowded that we did not need a reservation. Fortunately for us because they don't even use OpenTable. Even though I was able to make a reservation, they had canceled their open table subscription/membership. This was very strange and and I'm not sure who dropped the ball on that, but the depot on Main is an excellent place to eat, and we will go back

My wife and I went there for our 41st anniversary with dear friends. More casual than what we usually are use to when out for our anniversary. But let me tell you the quality and flavor of our meals more than made up for it. Our server was phenomenal, so attentive to our needs! We met David whom I assume is the owner, a very nice man. We will be regulars from now on.

I really liked this restaurant until I accidentally left my credit card there. We were on our way to Florida. When I noticed it at our next stop, I called them and they said they had it. I asked them if they would mail it to our address in Florida, and they were so nice, and said yes they would definitely do that. Luckily, I put a hold on it, so no further charges could be made, because then the fake charges started showing up. Two from Paris even. And of course I never received the credit card, and it's been over 2 weeks. Now I have to call the credit card company and report it stolen and go through all the hassle of getting a new card. I would like to report them to the police, but probably would do no good. So disappointed in the honesty of people.

We were traveling from Kentucky to Tennessee and stopped by the depot.Kylee was So Sweet and attentive to our needs.I really enjoyed our visit with her.Charming atmosphere.Back porch area to sit outside.And the sweet tea is the best!

One of the Worst Dining Experiences We’ve Had – Avoid The Depot

This place was a disaster from the moment we walked in.

The entire restaurant reeked like a musty basement—completely off-putting. Our server sat us at a dirty table, then “cleaned” it with a wet, foul-smelling rag that left it dripping with dirty water. That alone should’ve been our cue to leave.

Then came the food. Everything was overcooked, dry, and clearly sitting under a heat lamp way too long. Plates were brought out at random instead of together—some of us were halfway through eating before others even got their meals. No sense of coordination at all.

To top it off, my father-in-law ordered a burger and wasn’t told that he had to specifically request basic condiments like tomato and lettuce. Who does that?

This wasn’t a bad night—it was a total failure. Dirty, disorganized, and inedible. Minus five stars if I could. Save your money and go anywhere else.

We had a special event that had to be delayed by a day & Chelse, David, Kim our server & the entire kitchen staff went above & beyond to not only accommodate us but to also make us feel so special! The food was excellent, the staff were friendly, and the overall atmosphere was cozy & inviting! I’d highly recommend The Depot on Main for any occasion. Thank you guys from the big guy, Mark & the entire Big Guy Big World Family for everything you did to make our time there so special! 💖

I ordered food from Instacart. They used Uber eats I did not get one of my meals. The restaurant wouldn’t help me whatsoever and neither would Instacart. On top of that, the food was poor. The pork chop was completely dry. $70 for half my order and bad customer service. This place used to be good

I work on the road and always in the city and I personally live in the middle of no where in Kentucky. I'm always looking for home school dinners and this place absolutely did that with the fried green tomatoes, chicken. The owner came up and introduced himself and talked. I'm the area please please go there and enjoy home away from home!
