Great place to just sit and be. Great food and drinks!!
Excellent food & coffee! Great vibe!
This was the only Happy Cow option that came up when I searched at my Air BNB. I'm so glad it did! The vegan dinner option was a smoky pumpkin pasta and a lemon blueberry scone for dessert. So good! Also, they have very reasonably priced local artists. Usually, Happy Cow only allows up to 4 stars for non vegan establishments, so that's what I gave. The setting was allowing 5 stars for some reason? Love this place though!
What a wonderful place! The sourdough pancakes and hash bowl were absolutely delicious- everything was very fresh and the servings were just right. Will definitely stop in here again!
Amazing little place we stumbled on while down here hiking.
Great coffee and food, will definitely be here also
Tried to ask about DoorDash but guy on phone says he doesn’t know to turn it on, could’ve made money!
We were looking for a coffee shop on our way to the Ark Encounter and stumbled upon this hidden gem! The decor was charming and cozy, and the entire place was clean. The service was great and attentive. We ended up ordering a little bit of everything: sourdough French toast, oatmeal, a bagel breakfast sandwich, a sourdough breakfast sandwich, and of course, two dirty chai lattes. Every bite and sip was absolutely delicious. Truly a phenomenal experience all around! I highly recommend!
One of the most memorable pasta dishes I’ve ever had. The Genovese Trofie al Pesto featured hand-rippled trofie cooked to perfection, paired with a vibrant garlic scape pesto made in-house using ingredients from Good Thyme Farm. The flavors were balanced, fresh, and deeply satisfying.
The sautéed cremini mushrooms deserve special mention expertly prepared with butter, lemon, and thyme. Rich, aromatic, and full of umami depth.
Exceptional service rounded out the experience. Warm, knowledgeable, and attentive from start to finish. A true 10/10.
Great coffee
Beverages and pastries were very good. They were fast in preparing them. The art on the wall was also cool.

Relaxed, casual atmosphere with sofas and comfortable seats in addition to spacious table options. Good coffee with non-dairy/plant-based options. A couple of vegan breakfast options, and A couple of vegan baked treats! Updated from previous review on 2025-05-31
Welcome to Folktale Coffee and Bakehouse! Located on a cozy corner of a festive brick street, this inviting cafe was the perfect respite from the chilly winter gusts. As a coffee connoisseur, I'm always on the hunt for a perfect mocha. My quest mates with me, we tried the rich and creamy mocha latte, silky homemade hot chocolate, robust Cubano, and refreshing and unique Farmer iced tea. We also tried their golden speculous and salted chocolate chip cookies.
Art and legend drift like an ambient candle through the atmosphere of this establishment. Brooke, the one woman army, was like an informant tavern keeper, answering all our questions, taking our orders, and crafting our drinks with careful diligence. This place is very roomy with plenty of space whether you feel like chatting across a table or reclining on a sunlit couch.
I'd love to come here again when I'm in town. To the next coffee adventure!

Coffee/latte is crafted using scales to weigh the ingredients - masterfully done. Breakfast sandwich came out on a delicious layered biscuit that I can only think was house made or very local. I travel for work and visit a lot of coffee shops and I wish they were all this good!

Folktail is a nonnegotiable breakfast stop anytime we visit. Breakfast sandwiches are amazing but I love the bagels the most. Always buy a bunch to take back home.

Almost every Friday evening about 5pm, there is a group that gets together there and just studies the Bible and Biblical principles. A great place with a great atmosphere.
Kid-friendliness: The atmosphere is great for older kids to just hang out and chill
