Chef daddy in the back is slinging some legit food. If you haven't been out for dinner, it's a must try! Best food in the region. You would never expect this level of food coming out of a coffee spot, but that's what makes it so great. The crew cares about what they do and you can feel it. Don't sleep on this place, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

We stopped here after working a long weekend working in Kentucky and it was one of the best meals I've had. We all had breakfast items and were all incredibly happy with our food; both the quantity and quality. They also had some wonderful brownies, cookies, and muffins to buy.
It's also a gorgeous shop on this adorable street and sells locally made items and art. I ended up buying 2 paintings and they told me 100% of the proceeds go to the artist. They were also lovely people.
Make this a stop on your travels. 110% worth it. I'll be back next year for those sourdough pancakes and jalapeño jelly.

Service was not up to par. Non-existent. Do not go here it’s a horrible experience. Not surprised at response. If you want to bear false witness, you will have to answer to that later. You will run yourself out of business in this town. Keep it up or take criticism and improve and grow up and quit blaming others for your shortcomings. I feel the need to update my review based upon the owners response. Here is my original review: Waited 30 minutes. The people who ordered immediately before us ate and left. We asked for a refund and got yelled at by owner.
Here are the facts: we ordered a bagel and half sandwich then sat down. There was a couple who ordered before us and a large group who ordered after us. The couple who ordered before us got their food and ate and left. The large group that ordered after us got their order and left. After 30 minutes we went to the counter to ask for a refund. The girl behind the register started helping us. The girl in the coffee area then started yelling at us that they were busy. I tried to state that people who came in after us had already been served, but she continued harrassing us. That was when the owner walked in with a box of food, maybe he did not have the food on hand to make our order, but I won't speculate. He immediately started cussing at us so of course we will get aggressive back. The way the owner handled this and his response shows the level of maturity he has and how he treats his customers. If you choose to visit this establishment, good luck, however I see several reviews where other customers had a long wait and excuses are always made by the owner. Not a good way to treat people in this beautiful town. For you to bear false witness against us is unacceptable. You will have to account for this one day.

Amazing place have not been at folktale since 2022 but recently just got back with 2 buddies of mine to sit down and have a conversation, the desert was amazing and the drink was great, service was good and the place was wonderful. This place deserve 5/5 stars. Support your local businesses!!!

This was the only Happy Cow option that came up when I searched at my Air BNB. I'm so glad it did! The vegan dinner option was a smoky pumpkin pasta and a lemon blueberry scone for dessert. So good! Also, they have very reasonably priced local artists. Usually, Happy Cow only allows up to 4 stars for non vegan establishments, so that's what I gave. The setting was allowing 5 stars for some reason? Love this place though!
