Great pizza, great beer! Love this place!!

The pizza is well done, with a thin crispy crust. I enjoyed the creative takes, such as arugula prosciutto and dried cherries. There is a small but varied selection of beers on tap. People running the shop are usually friendly.

Great pizza, i just wish the hours online were true to the location. I’ve come by four or five times when google and their site says it’s open and see a closed sign out front, which is incredibly frustrating when I’m traveling all the way from Florence for it. Please update it.

Had so much fun here and it was entirely down to the bar staff - they really made the experience with their friendly and funny vibes. Good beers and great pizzas as well!

Man, I swear this is the best pizza in town! I go far too often to admit. The magherita and the goetta and potato pizza are sooooo damn good!

Loved, loved, loved, loved this place. Our pizza was sooooo good. We got 4 of the the goetta grip pizzas and some drinks. Food was cooked to perfection and the drinks were on point. We were in town to visit our daughter. We told her this will be our go to place every time we are in town! The service was excellent and the ambiance was nice. You have got to try this place!

Several great beers + 12-inch wood-fired pizzas (they also serve sandwiches and salads). Post-game crowd and atmosphere was great.I got the margherita, which looked and tasted perfect. That plus a slightly fruity pint filled me up. Servers were fast and described the beers well. They offer gluten-free crust, including cauliflower (if you require it, I'd call ahead just to make sure they haven't run out for the day).

This is a great place. HOWEVER, we thought it was closed! The hours were 7a-? But we pulled the handle and they were open. The beers are good, the pizza was really good staff was friendly. definitely will go back. The leftover star is for the Hours, what's up with not opening til 4 on a Saturday??

First thing's first. Their hours are baffling. First, they're closed on Mondays & Tuesdays. What Monday isn't made better by pizza? And they've removed themselves from the game right out of the gate.Second, they don't open until 4 PM on Sundays, which removes them from consideration for any number of football or other sporting events that might begin earlier in the day. I thought this might be the case because Bircus shares this space with the amazing North South Baking Company, but the hours at their Ludlow location are equally bazonkers. In an ideal world, Bircus & North South would share the space at the same time. Who wouldn't want to visit a place where they could get pizza AND donuts at the same time? Add a bed & a TV streaming Disney+, & I'd move in.Parking can be a gamble. Street parking in Covington is rarely available, but there's a tiny metered lot on the 7th Street side of the restaurant. My gameplan was to order online, but they don't offer that option. There's a phone number, but I called twice from my car, & it went right to voicemail. So I went inside, placed my order at the counter, paid & found a seat in the corner. This is of course also a brewery, so you can pass the time waiting with a drink if that sort of thing is your bag. It's not mine, so I people-watched through their large windows.15 minutes later, my order was up & I was headed home. Service here was very welcoming & friendly. They're good people. I'll be back.As for the pizza, I went with their Bambino, which is pretty basic, but added pepperoni. It came topped with a dusting of grated cheese. Definitely hit the spot & a welcome alternative to LaRosa's, Marco's, Donato's, etc.

Three stars for the beer but five for the vibe. We came in for the Saturday matinee circus show which was aimed at families but we are just big kids and had a great time! We were told that if you come on a weekend night they have live music and a more impressive circus offering with fire blowers and trapeze artists...that wasn't apparent from looking at their website or social media. Come check out a show and have a beer or two!
