Had two quick 5 oz pours of their ipas. One was New Englandesque and one was a fairly malt forward California style. Both were on point as far as flavor goes. Good.... Good quality beers.
This was the last weekend for the igloos so there were some miscommunication between Dewey's and Braxton regarding the food that was being served, but we didn't care and we went with the flow and it was awesome! Can't wait to do it next year!
The Braxton Igloo could be a fun gimmick, but the execution is poor. On our night (the 2nd igloo we've rented this year) it was raining cats and dogs. 1) You must leave the Igloo every time you want a drink. It's a brewery ! Why doesn't Braxton have someone "running" drinks to the Igloo ? The tips could have been HUGE. Instead, every time anyone wanted a drink they had to walk out into the rain and then stand in the rain at the bar (service was just ok because most folks weren't willing to stand i the ran it seems) pretty poor. 2.) The Dewey's food option works well enough but if your order isn't quite right, you need more plates (like we did) , more dressing/sauce (like we did) - well your just outta luck. Too bad. Net - we won't be back for an Igloo - (our first of the year was freezing cold) - The experience is just far too dependent on the weather and Braxton seems unwilling to put any effort in to make it a special. Sorry.
Atmosphere was great and have dined at the igloo bar previously. The heater system was different and it was colder than we planned for but all in all a great time and will do it again.
February-When we arrived it was raining. There was a long line (on the roof top) so I veered off to the side to ask & see how we know what igloo to go to, and they said I had to wait in the line -which was a line of people ordering drinks. We got in the igloo there was a lot of moisture /condensation so water was dripping all over us the whole time. Likely a better experience when no rain. I'd try it again when it's not.
Shout out to the bartenders at Braxton and staff at Dewey's pizza next door. We rented an igloo months ago and unfortunately timed it perfectly with a snow storm. However, the place was still open, and the bartender on the roof made sure we had a great time.
The atmosphere was great, the igloos were cool. Definitely was colder inside than we thought it would be . We did bring coats and blankets but was still cold inside on a 30 degree night. We were able to utilize a Bluetooth speaker which was cool. When we booked we thought it was full service in the igloo meaning they would bring our drinks. We had to go to the outdoor bar. Long waits outside which took away from our time in the igloo . So disappointed in that Over all it was a good experience I would do it again
10/10 would do this again had a wonderful time. It was 20 degrees outside the igloos and inside we had to shed layers. Best decision!!!
The igloos needed to be warmer. We were the first reservation for the evening. The door to the igloo was not shut after the heater was turned on by staff. When we arrived, it was just as cold inside as outside. It really took about a 1/2 hour to get any heat in there.
The igloo bar had become a great winter tradition for us. It is a great way to get together with friends and family.

It was a fun experience! We got the igloo for a bachelorette party and we and the bride to be loved it. The only thing to know is they do not provide a Bluetooth speaker like I thought they did so you may want to bring your own. You can't beat the reservation rate. Other igloos in the area are significantly more expensive.

If you want a quiet cozy place to drink and eat and listen to your own music...this is it!
Igloo reservation was cancelled day of - after we had already arrived - after having the reservation for months with no notice and have not received refund yet. There was some snow but not heavy snow and the bar was slow but several others also arrived for igloo reservations and we were all told to email for refunds.
The Braxton/Dewey Pizza Igloos are a neat concept for the winter months. If you are doing drinks and appetizers, then space is sufficient for up to 8 people. If you are planning to order multiple pizzas and appetizers for dinner, then a party of 4 is a good number. It can just make for tight table space with a lot of food. If the outside temperature is above 32 degrees then the igloo is probably going to be a comfortable temperature. There is a single light/space heater that does a decent job. If the temp is below 32, the temperature might get a little uncomfortable for some after an hour. I'd say 90 minutes is a good time frame in the igloo. As we got past 90 minutes in below 32 degree weather our party of 4 began really feeling the atmosphere. We ordered drinks at the rooftop bar. We ordered food through the QR code. Dewey's delivered our food timely and it all tasted great. Overall a positive experience with good Braxton Beer and Dewey Pizza.
