Overall great experience! Our server was Ellis who took great care of us and was attentive to any questions we had. It is a little noisy in there since it's all brick and concrete. And of course, the food. They make their pasta in house and everything was cooked to perfection. They try to locally source as much as possible which explains the superb quality of the food. Definitely worth the visit.

Our server Sam was amazing, as well as the entire atmosphere of the place. The only complaint was the food. The mozzarella had no flavor I felt the bread was the best part. My boyfriend ordered the lasagna and had no complaints other than it had a little spice. I order the garlic Alfredo was not at all what I expected. My noodles weren’t cooked all the way and there was no garlic or Alfredo taste just cheese.

I visited Carmelo’s on Thursday night of this past week, and I can honestly say it was the greatest restaurant experience that I have had in recent time. I have been to my fair share of nice restaurants, and without a shadow of a doubt, this is among the creme de la creme. We had a 7:45 pm reservation (with no special requests) and were met happily at the door. We then met our server Eric (sorry if this isn’t the correct spelling!), who provided the best service I’ve received while in the state of Ohio. I’m only 21 years old, so a lot of the places I visit treat me like a teenager, this wasn’t the case here. I was shown the upmost respect. Our server was knowledgeable on the local brands of alcohol and gave a step by step breakdown of what we could expect from each dish. He even gave us the history of the restaurant since it opened a year and some ago. They were honest, provided strong service, and even had a birthday treat prepared. All of this was just how the service was amazing, that doesn’t even begin to describe how else this restaurant succeeds. The dim lighting, interior design, and transparent kitchen window, made this a wonderful place to eat. I also felt that despite the 5 tables situated in the section, my party never felt the need to elevate our voices to hear each other. Truly a 5 star worthy atmosphere! Finally, the food. My girlfriend ordered the chicken entree, which was absolutely splendid. I ordered the Oxtail ragú and felt like the world was melting as soon as it touched my tongue, divine! Finally, my friend ordered the Lasagna and we were genuinely surprised that we could get three perfect plates. Not only that, the portions left us feeling full, without exceeding that even slightly. My final point, and maybe the most important to some people, the price was perfect. An alcoholic drink, an appetizer (not aforementioned, but the mozzarella is absolutely delicious), three entrees, and a dessert ended up being around $120. I honestly believe that you cannot get a better experience for the price. I am new to leaving reviews, but I think this is (and will remain) among my top 5 star review going forward. This is only the second review I’ve ever left and they are two very different expressions, and in my opinion, deservedly so.
