The cocktail menu is incredibly extensive. There is a smaller seasonal/specialty menu at the front of the booklet. As you keep looking, you’ll see their spirits list. Underneath each list is a menu of classic cocktails using that spirit. Our bartender was so friendly, helpful, and not pretentious about offering clarification which was very welcoming. There’s definitely an atmosphere of curiosity and experimentation, and they’re willing to mix up the spirit on a classic cocktail as evidenced by our party ordering a Mezcal Last Word (which was great!). We were given complimentary tapas with our cocktails and honestly I’m still craving those fenugreek crackers.

Beautiful atmosphere! I specifically love the attention to detail the staff provides for the drinks. Beautiful flower embellishments and attractive glassware. Highly recommended dropping in here.

Went for cocktails after dinner. The bar is absolutely gorgeous for starters. It’s well stocked with most everything you can imagine. I ordered a dirty martini and my dad got a Manhattan. They of course have an excellent bourbon selection. The service was amazing and the drinks were perfect. The music was great and the atmosphere was very vibey. Will definitely be back

The ambiance is nice, although frankly a bit too dark to see or read easily.I could not believe the high end liquor pricing though — pretty much everything in the $30+ range was priced significantly higher than other nearby bars, often egregiously so. If I go back to Knowledge, it won't be for anything high end. Some of the cocktails are closer to reasonable, but they still have the highest pricing by far of any bar in Downtown Cincinnati or Northern Kentucky...It's clear they're focused on catering to the affluent, but the ambiance is not worth the prices they charge to me. There are just too many nice bars nearby that charge reasonable prices.

This may be the first and only Google (or anywhere on the Internet) review I’ve ever left, which means it is that good. Where do I begin? First, while Covington has grown so much in the last ten years, I firmly believe this was the final piece that Covington was missing. You walk in and instantly feel like you are in the swankiest bar in the swankiest city that you could possibly find. Whether you’ve been frequenting their neighboring Hotel Covington and surrounding bars for years, or you just happened to stumble in here by accident, the friendly smiles in front of an impressive collection of bourbon gleaming with lights from nearby Cincinnati instantly remind you that you are right here in Covington, Kentucky. As a Kentuckian and bourbon lover, I’ve seen plenty of your traditional Kentucky bourbon bars complete with mahogany wood, rare bourbon, mustached bartenders, and plenty of horse motifs. But, what I haven’t seen, is a Kentucky bar rich with such history or bartenders that aren’t there to sell you on only their idea of a cocktail. While their standard menu is fantastic and should not be looked over in the slightest, what I have appreciated most about Knowledge is their fresh and simplistic take on classic cocktails. Their bartenders are extremely knowledgeable. Each one has an innate ability to understand your unique pallet and introduce you to something completely different.I have always loved bourbon and immediately fell in love with this bar. But maybe not for the reasons you might think.Sure- they have a stellar cocktail menu, a great bourbon list, and the perfect ambiance for that special first date or client you need to impress. But what has kept me coming back? Aside from the free Parmesan crisps, olives, and rotating complimentary bites (which, you should, no MUST try) is the talented crew behind the bar. They are known for their drink named after their namesake horse - Knowledge - but they are all so much more than that. All of the faces behind the bar - all knowledgeable in their own right- each have a unique personality. But, they have all taught this traditional Kentucky bourbon drinker to venture out of her shell and try so much more that they have to offer.I first started coming here drinking strictly old fashioneds, borbon (wheated) neat, or a dry gin and tonic. I even used to swear up and down I hated botanical gins. Now? You’ll find me drinking one of Dana’s famous (ok maybe I made that up) gin martinis with a vermouth rinse using Uncle Val’s botanical gin, and a lemon twist. Or asking Kelsey to make me a matcha martini. Or asking Mark where he got his Texas tie and an espresso martini. Or asking Aaron, Brooke, or anyone else behind the bar to make me something new. Or asking Chef Michael what he’s cooking up that evening and to teach me a little Italian on the side.In other words - no matter what night you go in, you can count on not just a killer drink and great service, but even better conversations. While Covington has a number of hidden gems already, I would wholeheartedly add this spot to your list. Run, don’t walk here as fast as you can.

We strolled in here after noticing it coming out of the Hannaford, hadn’t heard anything about it and honestly I’m glad we found it. The ambiance is so cozy and romantic, definitely great for a cocktail date night. They had live music and we went in on a Wednesday which was superb! Service was great, we were checked in on consistently, they were all very knowledgeable and friendly. Kelsey in particular spent so much time answering questions and explaining the concept of the bar, we really felt like we could sit and sip for hours. I ended up having one of her creations, it was a unique collage of flavors that blended so seamlessly. Can’t wait to go back and taste more of the menu and maybe order one of the charcuteries they make at the bar.
