Amazing food in a cool log cabin environment. The fried chicken (bone in and strips) are amazing. Breakfast is amazing. Hot brown. Amazing. I don't know if I've had anything bad here. Service always friendly and on top of things.

Down home country cooking at it's best! This little gem is tucked away in Covington off Madison Pike and has been there for 30+ years. It is housed in an actual old log cabin. This place has so much charm and feel good vibes running through it. The staff is sweet and the service is great. They offer breakfast all day and have an extensive selection of home cooked meals to choose from for lunch or dinner as well. Their food is delicious. I loved my breakfast bowl and goetta. It can get very busy after the church crowd on Sunday and weekends in general. So, reservations are suggested. But, my wife and I really enjoy popping in for a tasty, easy going meal or dessert. Prices are reasonable too. This place is must try for locals, travelers, and everyone in-between. Simply a fun experience everytime. Kick back, relax, and enjoy!! Yummo 😋.

Got the country fried steak with sliced potatoes, by far the best breakfast I have had out in awhile.

Food was great! Sliced potatoes perfectly cooked and flavored, goetta as well. Our server, Sabrina, really made the experience with her cheery attitude and good recommendations! Will definitely be back!

12/21/25 - worse experience ever at this location. Having a late lunch 2 PM on Sunday. When owner / manager walks through a calls staff outside (40 degrees) for a meeting. I was told there was two person left to cover the full restaurant by said owner, however no one came to refill drinks, offer boxes, see if we needed anything or to drop off a ticket for payment. We the customer had to go outside to ask the waitress for a ticket so we could pay. I called to speak to the owner to voice my concerns and was met with the owner saying he was sorry he thought the 2 people remaining in the restaurant was helping customers. How does a business owner not understand that treating customers this way will drive them to easier to access restaurants. Maybe my 40 something meal is laughable but with people spending less on eating out one would think the customer service isn't something an owner should have to learn. I won't be back to spend my money on an owner who doesn't value me as a customer.
