I stopped by Mama's while on a work trip looking for solid Italian food. This is a hard find in the Cincinnati area, but Mama's delivers. The chicken Parmesan was good, but the meatballs are the winner. Perfect date night place with an inviting atmosphere, definitely worth trying.

My husband and I have been to many "fancier" and "more upscale" Italian restaurants but their food didn't hold a candle to the meal we had at Mama's! The arancini and calamari were amazing! The chicken Parm was delicious and a perfect entree portion. The mushroom pasta was delightful and the meatballs and broccolini were the perfect accompaniment. The desserts looked good but we didn't have room. My husband said his Manhattan was one of the best in town. The atmosphere was cool and the music was great but it was a bit loud and crowded but honestly the food made to for it!Wheelchair accessibility: There is a side door with no step. I entered the main door and asked the hostess if my husband could use the side door. She happily met us both there, which worked well for his mobility issues. Might be too crowded for a wheelchair to comfortably navigate.
This place is phenomenal. Way better than Collette and hand in hand with Sotto. Service was amazing and food was astounding. Their gnocchi was spectacular and I’m not the biggest fan of gnocchi in general. They were delicious little pillows. Everything I’ve had here was beyond good.

Terrible service by hosts. Waited an HOUR past our reservation and they hosts were very rude and sitting on their phones not helpful at all. Came from out of town to come here and really disappointed.

We went here for our anniversary and it was lovely! The atmosphere was lively and it felt appropriate to dress up or down. Everything on the menu sounded so good and WAS. I had never considered whipped ricotta cheese, but I am forever changed and would highly recommend the focaccia bread starter.

The ambience is lovely. Had a great date night dinner here. From the cocktails to the marinated olive appetizer to my gluten free version of the rigatoni with vodka sauce and roasted chicken I was so pleased with everything! Absolutely delicious. The lobster ravioli my boyfriend had could have been a bigger portion.
This is the best Italian we have had in the NKY area yet! The portions for what you are paying is so worth it for the quality of the food. The calamari is the best we've had eating out from anywhere and we typically steer towards calamari on any menu. The chicken parmesan is a large portion I could only eat half. The tiramisu was large enough to share and very moist. We will be back!!

Overall, the experience was nice. The food was delicious, everything from the apps to the main courses. However, the service was not ideal. Our party experienced empty drinks throughout the evening and it took a long time to find the waitress and be offered another drink. We weren't asked how everything was or offered a choice of desert. It was my birthday and it wasn't acknowledged by the restaurant at all, even though we mentioned it in the booking. The waitress essentially disappeared and we were left waiting for her multiple times throughout the evening. Not great service, but food was great!

Great food! We were a group of 8. Everyone enjoyed their cocktails, appetizers (bread service, arancini and roasted beets) and entrees (gnocchi, chicken and eggplant parm dishes, salmon, raviolis, pork chop and mushroom Ragu). Friendly and accommodating staff. Will return.

I love this place, it's our go to for Italian. Do not skip the bread service or the calamari. When going with a group we usually order all the pasta and get smaller plates to share everything, its all worth it. I could eat the spaghetti and meatballs every day, the red sauce is buttery and flavorful, the meatballs are so tender. If you think you're not hungry enough for the cookie plate, think again - or take some home, you'll regret missing out. Our only complaint is that while it's a beautiful restaurant it can get loud. This isn't a problem when reserving a table outdoors, and we've had luck on the 2nd floor, but depending on guests abilities, that may not always be an option.Vegetarian options: My gf is a vegetarian and this is her favorite place in town. There's enough variety and plates to share.Parking: There's a paid parking lot up the street, it's safe and inexpensive.
Our server was exceptional, but unfortunately I cannot remember her name! The food was amazing as always. It was a little louder than we would prefer, but I would never bring a rating down due to noise level! Always a great dining experience and already looking forward to our next meal at Mamas!
