So I wrote a review (Pictured below) And I made a typo on the date. The owner proceeded to call me a liar and get all defensive, which is in no way how you should deal with customers. I went Back and edited it and no apology. The poor kids were slammed, and the method of paying after receiving the food was really slowing them down. A more efficient way to do things would be to have one taking the orders and one making the orders. I was one of the last customers to receive ice cream, which happened at 10:30. We got there at 9:45

Service was great, and having all the flavors you can “mix in” is fun — it’s just that the base soft serve ice cream is more “ice” than cream.
It just doesn’t have that creaminess you get from other soft serves (it’s more like that icy ice cream you get at Sam’s club) which is a shame since it has a great location right near the park..
If you have kids, probably worth stopping by so they can “create” their own flavored treat, but if you want good ice cream, you can skip it.

Had a chocolate vanilla twist. The lactose-free ice cream (the only option, by the way) doesn't taste like much tbh.

I've recently looked Pipers up as an option to try, with numerous food allergies it's hard to find somewhere to go on a date night with my wife. This was perfect, they have lactose and vegan soft serve.

So Piper's will always hold a special place in my heart. It's the reason my husband and I are together! He sent an email at work letting us all know that Piper's was back open for the season (this was back in 2012) and that was the beginning of it all! We even had some of our engagement photos taken at Piper's! SO I love this place for nostalgic reasons, but I also love it because it's just so delicious. I'm impressed by their many flavor offerings, but I personally don't like switching things up and I order the same thing every time—a cup of coconut banana. It tastes like summer and it's so yummy and refreshing! Location wise, I love that it's right across the street from Goebel Park. Ice cream + playground make for a happy afternoon with the kiddos.
The grumpy old man wasn't the happy server so I left due to his outbursts on his anger to my question on the flavors of cold drinks

Place is next to a decent park, that also has a clock tower. Can bring your kids to play at the park and then get some ice cream. Has outdoor seating.

I was in the area and saw there was vegan soft serve which is not easy to come by. They had a number of toppings and sauces that were vegan, which is super cool! But when I got the ice cream I realized it’s water slush with sugar. It had no flavor, except for the peanut sauce I added to it. Vegan ice cream is normally made with oats, soy, almond or coconut. I can appreciate it’s allergen friendly but I wouldn’t call it ice cream. I was let down big time. Of course my husband’s normal ice cream looked great.
