You can't go wrong trying this spot. I live the moonshine flights and the time and attention the staff provides. I had a few questions and my server asked the bartender to recommend a few selections. After a few questions, he recommended some good flavors and brands to try. The tacos were delish and tons of different choices.

Sugar Whiskey seems to be its own standalone bar, but also doubles as overflow seating for Agave & Rye. Yesterday, my brother and I decided we were in the mood for a regretful dessert. When we saw a photo of the chocolate cake on their Yelp page, we decided to venture over and grab a slice (because there are too few opportunities in life where we get to eat cake!). We sat at the bar and each ordered a slice of this oversized cake. You know it's bad when you need a doggy-bag for just your dessert leftovers. The chocolate cake was delicious! I'm not sure if the same dessert options are available at Agave & Rye or not. Next time, I'd love to try the carrot cake! This also seems like a great bar to have a casual drink or play some over-sized chess with a friend. Whether you're here for the tacos or the bomb dessert, Sugar Whiskey Sis is a great stop in Covington!

I'm going to go back because this place is cool and funky and the food was yummy. Fun concept of whisky based cocktails and flights. Our visit started out a bit rough hence average rating. I ordered corn fritters. They came way over cooked. The manager Eddie was super nice about it and offered to make it right. My other dish came cold. They did replace it. The tacos my friends ordered looked plentiful; two is enough to fill you up. I'm going to give this spot another try. Same folks as Agave and Rye. They know tacos! Just need to brush up on expediting orders to temp. Loving the Covington scene!

Some friends and I ended up at Sugar Whiskey Sis after trying to get a table at Agave and Rye in Covington. Sugar Whiskey Sis has more of a bar vibe, but they have the same exact menu as Agave and Rye next door. Starting off with the trio sampler is the best way to kick off your night. The quac and queso were both delicious and the chips are really crispy which is nice for heavier dips. For my main dish, I decIded on the swipe right taco and the street corn salad. Beware, the tacos are pretty filling on their own, so I would order only one or two if you have an appetizer. I can't get over how good the Mexican street corn salad was. Overall, I think this is a great place to stop in if your looking for a drink or an app, but I would have preferred to eat in agave and rye, just for the more formal dinner setting.

Wife and I went there for dinner. The tacos were very good and creative. Presentation was very nice. The salsa with the chips and salsa were good. But the chips were really greasy. This is a moonshine bar but has very nice flavored moonshine and a wide variety of craft beer. Food was quick to come out and the bartender was very knowledgeable and nice. Interior has some original artwork and is fun. We will be visiting again.
We sat in here bc Agave and Rye was full, and this place has the same kitchen as Agave and Rye. It was more chill and quiet than Agave and Rye still with funky decor. Took 10 minutes to get a drink order in and then another 15 to get the drinks. They were VERY sour and weak. It was another 10-15 minutes before we got to order food. I have to say the queso was actually really good and served hot. The tacos were just ok and we got three different kinds. Kinda bland. It was just ok for me dude. Meh.

OMG! Mark M. is the best bartender/host ever! My girlfriend and I go out during the week for a girls night dinner and stumbled across Sugar Whiskey Sis in Covington. Highly recommend, great drinks and great tacos! Get the Jesus Juice! Amen!
