Went in on a Saturday with my wife and sat at the bar. They were just finishing up a rush but the bartender Jonathan took excellent care of us. He was clearly overworked when we sat down but took our drink order and got them to us very quickly (the Old Fashioned way amazing). I ordered pizza, my wife the Reuben, both good, pizza was better. We will definitely go back soon.

Love this place, specifically on the weekend. Their pickled green tomatoes on their sandwiches make them next level.Parking: There is limited street parking in the area and the lot that used to be next door is gone. However there is a ton of parking within a block or two just need to look around a bit.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu is to 16 y/o so that is great and there is a specific area for kids to go play with toys and books to read while they wait!

We went for brunch. The vibe here was neat. The pizza was solid not great. The breakfast sausage sandwich was ordered by a few people at our table and no one loved it sadly even though it was unique. The sausage was dry tasting. The tots were good. The mimosas were strong & good. The service was good & food came out fast.

the pizzas are great! When we visit Cincinnati, it is a must to walk across the John A Roebling Bridge and then regain energy at The Gruff, a couple of beers and a delicious pizza; The Vegetarian is great, since I'm not a vegetarian I add a little salami and the results are for the Gods! If you choose a good place to sit you can have a nice photo with the bridge in the background.

Fish Fry Friday…1/2 sandwich, coleslaw and tater tots…$18.Advertised as $14 for sandwich. They should have to revise because it’s 1/2 sandwich! The coleslaw is cabbage and mayo, ZERO flavor. The server asked if I wanted chips, fries or tots. Of course I opted for tots without the disclosure that it’s an additional $4.00. The atmosphere was ok, the server was very nice. The beer selection sucked! I ordered a mad tree tropical psychopathy and they brought out this. It tasted like flowers, not even close to tropical psychopathy. If that’s on madtree that’s a poor change! They advertised a fish sandwich, not 1/2 of a sandwich.

I've been here many times and always enjoyed the food. I recently came for a lunch and selected the fried chicken salad. Talk about a good salad, it was sooo good! The cilantro chipotle dressing was a fan fav and the chicken was fried to perfection. Our server was fine and decently attentive. The parking is my only complaint currently but it's of no fault of the restaurants due to construction. I hope with the new businesses going in this place will receive a lot of love because they deserve it!

Excellent service. Excellent food. They even have a small play area with games and toys for kids to use while they wait.Do NOT miss the opportunity to get picked fries. SO GOOD.

Visiting NKY for the holiday, needed a pizza night & my daughter found The Gruff! Just got take out but the atmosphere was great! Partiers, family, sports & a store all having fun in a casual place. Very welcoming, pizzas were ready on time. & all 3 were excellent: the Brussel sprout, Truffle sausage but hey, add bacon to the margarita & BOOM!! Just go!!
