I’ve been coming to The Well for years and always enjoyed it, but this last visit was the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I mistakenly thought my husband had a tab open and tried to charge our drinks to it. Instead of simply allowing us a second to hand over our card, the bartender pulled the drinks away and asked us to leave. We weren’t dodging payment—we were literally trying to resolve the issue. A normal mistake turned into an embarrassing scene. For a place we’ve recommended countless times, this was a massive disappointment. Sadly, we won’t be back.

Loved this place! We stopped in based on a friend’s recommendation while staying at Hotel Covington, and we’re so glad we did. The atmosphere is fantastic—both indoors and out. The interior has a cool, laid-back vibe, while the outdoor seating area is perfect for enjoying a relaxed evening.
The drinks were superb—creative, well-balanced, and clearly crafted with care. The food was equally impressive, with every dish we tried being flavorful and thoughtfully prepared. It’s the kind of place that gets everything right: ambiance, cocktails, and cuisine.
Whether you’re local or just visiting, The Well is definitely worth a stop. We’ll absolutely be back next time we’re in town.

Used to frequent this bar in their early days when they had first opened up. Unfortunately, things have obviously changed drastically among its workers and how they treat their patrons.
I’m not one to leave negative reviews; I’m all for local businesses, but I genuinely believe that this one needs an organizational assessment in how they handle their patrons. I feel like this is a bar that is staffed with those who are EAGER to deny service or send people home.
My experience tonight was absolutely mishandled and disgusting. I was celebrating my friend’s birthday and we wanted to continue our celebration at The Well because we trusted it to be a welcoming environment and a good atmosphere. Contrastingly, as I trying to purchase drinks for my group and I, we ended up being escorted out because another inebriated patron tried to blame AND FIGHT me for taking their drink (it was just a high noon lmao) when it was clearly mine?!? Like, I’m not going to crash out over a $4 beverage, I’m genuinely just really disappointed in how this situation was handled in how they favored the instigating individual and decided to kick out my group and I, in which we were adhesive AND compliant enough to leave because we did not want to make the situation any worse than it really was.

The Well is one of my favorite spots in Covington! The drinks and food are always great, and the staff are such fun people. I threw my boyfriend a surprise 30th birthday party at The Well, and it was a night many probably won’t remember but filled with laughs and fun.

Food and service were incredible. Talked to the chef for a bit, and he was nice and informative. He told me all the ingredients are local. Bar service was nice as well. Live music was really good too! Kraut dog was so good. Sliders were incredible. Great fries, great Mac n cheese
