Moonrise Doughnuts

I discovered Moonrise Donuts through a Google search and, after seeing all the glowing reviews, I figured these might be the donut gods’ gift to mankind. Sure, it was a bit of a trek, but who doesn’t love a little adventure for fried dough perfection? Spoiler alert: timing is everything with this spot.

The shop opens early in the morning and closes at noon, and when I say early bird gets the worm, I mean it. When I arrived, the donuts pictured on their Google page were nowhere to be found. It was like arriving late to a party where everyone had already devoured the cake—and I was left with plain donuts, both glazed and chocolate-covered. Don’t get me wrong, they were good, but clearly, the donut MVPs had already been snatched up. Lesson learned: donut greatness requires an alarm clock.

The people I bought the donuts for enjoyed them, so at least I didn’t face a mutiny. If I go back (and I probably will), I’ll channel my inner Olympic sprinter and get there as soon as the doors open to claim the good stuff.

On the bright side, the decor was charming, which softened the blow of my donut FOMO. And here’s a big win: they’re entirely nut-free. While I’m not allergic, I can appreciate the Herculean effort it takes to ensure every donut is allergy-safe. Bonus points for making Moonrise a guilt-free option for my nut-allergic friends.

Overall, Moonrise Donuts is worth a visit—but only if you’re willing to play the early-bird game. Next time, I’ll be there at dawn with coffee in hand, ready to grab those elusive donuts before anyone else can. Moral of the story? Donut procrastination never pays.

Love your product tried to buy some yesterday but you are still closed for remodeling. It would be nice if you would have updated your website to say so.

Very disappointed that the ability to order online is gone. I still went at 9am and as expected very limited choices so I had to take my order somewhere else (5 dozen). The employee told me I should have ordered via Doordash but I didn't want delivery or to pay a surcharge. I guess I will stop if I want a couple but when ordering for work I will go someplace else

Stopped by early to try to input a large order for work. Rang the bell, yelled Hello. Saw a guy pretending to wash dishes with headphones on. Knocked on that kitchen door and even called out to him. Would like to give negative stars - but can't. And this why little shops like this close. You missed a large money making opportunity. Won't ever try you again.

Always enjoy getting moonrise donuts. This location is convenient for me but sometimes if you're not there early, you have a limited selection. I was able to get a good selection of donuts. The guy at the counter was friendly and upbeat.

What a relief to be able to give my son a sweet treat from a local establishment that is peanut / tree nut free. My son is severely allergic to peanuts and we are slowly weeding out tree nuts. He isn’t able to eat sweet treats from many places, so it made my heart super happy to find out this is a safe place for him. Thank you all!

Strawberry cake donut was great. Glazed was average. All the chocolate on donuts was runny so pretty messy. Overall average donuts.

Parking: Small parking lot in a strip mall. Not bad when other places aren’t open but can get full.
