My "live affair" with El Nopal had a rocky start. But I have to admit, it's becoming a "go to" for quick, affordable, and good Tex-mex food. This time, I went with Tortilla soup on a chilly night. I wasn't sure if it filled me, so I added a steak taco. Silly me. I ended up taking soup home. I'm not sure if I've ever seen more chicken in tortilla soup from any Mexican restaurant. The broth could have used a bit more spice, but nothing a little salt & pepper couldn't fix. BTW, it seems that Tuesdays & Saturdays are karaoke nights. Normally, that would make me cringe. But on this Tuesday night a bunch of seniors, who are regulars, were pretty darn good. And friendly, too. Ends up, they were every bit as satisfying as my meal.

They have Karaoke and excellent drinks.Vegetarian options: They have a whole section of vegetarian options offering some of there more popular dishes without meat. You can also easily alter any of the menus items to replace meat with beans or vegetables.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps in the building and very close handicap parking. The tables have room between them making it super easy to get in and out.
I have been eating here every 3 weeks for a couple of years now, and I can say unequivocally that the service and food are both awesome! The tacos and chicken enchiladas are both really good.

Great flautas! We were a large group, and everyone enjoyed their food! The only reason I didn't give a 5-star review for food was because the guacamole and salsa were so bland, it was if there were no cilantro, salt, or seasoning of any kind.

Very slow service without many people there. The only things that are fast are the chips and check. The chain is good but this location is not living up to the speed of the other locations.
