We enjoyed our visit to the soda shop and loved the food ( burgers and BLT), service was over-the-top, and ambiance is all Kentucky-anything like that, I love!!

This has a place I've been wanting to come out of the way for since 2017. Went with my significant other to this establishment. To best describe it, this place did not disappoint. The food was delicious. The dessert was excellent, and the staff was spot on in customer service. The staff holds themselves accountable and takes responsibility for any inconvenience that could potentially be caused. We recommend this establishment for not only a quality eatery, but for dates and get togethers as well!
Last night was a return to L&R we go hear often because it's my granddaughter's favorite. She love the starter or fried pickles which comes as a generous portion. Drinks came promptly to our table wife had half sweet and half unsweetened tea, my granddaughter had chocolate milk and I ordered water. Entrees were chicken tender and fries kids meal, wife had the club with fries and I ordered the Hot honey chicken. Granddaughter enjoyed her chicken and fries but she really came for the ice cream (Superman). My wife's club she said was really great except for how big it was ( she can't unlock her jaw). My hot honey chicken sandwich was fantastic right amount of heat and the run off hot honey went really well with my sweet potatoes fries. The L&R is a small town soda bar with jukebox, antique Coca Cola soda memorabilia and other rustic decor.

I’m writing this based on not the food, but a charge we got. Monday (March 25, 2024) my parents ordered by phone for a to go order, it was expensive, but they did order a bit, but that isn’t the issue. My step-dad went to get the order and payed with a card, all that. Today, the Wednesday after, my mother looks at the receipt…they charged a 8 dollar tip! They never asked for it (it was for a to go order, you don’t usually tip for that on planet earth) and it wasn’t added to the order beforehand, it was added after the total was made (basically they added it on after the fact). Now I get we are living in hard times and I’d they asked, we’d be annoyed, but I’m sure my stepdad would gave them a tip. But to STEAL from someone is wrong, this isn’t an order in and it wasn’t even asked for. And 8 dollars for what? Holding our order at the store? We live less than 5 minutes away, they could have brung it to us if they wanted a tip that badly. My family for the most part liked the food, that isn’t an issue, but they charged a tip without asking and for a to go order. I URGE ANYONE GETTING A TO-GO ORDER TO CHECK AND MAKE SURE YOUE NOT BEING CHARGED FOR A TIP (OR EVEN IN THE RESTAURANT, NO RESTAURANT SHOULD STEAL MONEY BECAUSE THEY THINK THEY ARE OWED A TIP, THATS NOT HOW LIFE WORKS).

Absolutely amazing place. A huge bright spot in this little town. We just moved here and we wandered in to check it out. It's my new favorite spot for a lunch or dinner with my husband. The service was amazing and the Ruben sandwich I had was the bomb.Thank you for making us feel at home!

First time I’ve been, my husband had been telling me about it for awhile so we went and tried it we swears by their burgers ? definitely and mom and pops feeling but down right good food, the staff treats you like family and they have tons of options from food to dessert and soda.
Waitress was very friendly, food was good, appetizers were a little sparing for family of 6. Loved the atmosphere the decor and the wonderful history of the place.
I love the always incredible food. The icecream is better than anywhere I've been.
