The wings were inedibly salty—so much so that they felt like a health hazard. I couldn’t even eat more than a couple because the sodium level was overwhelming. When I asked the waitress about it, she explained that a third-party supplier smokes the wings, and Midway just adds the sauce. She couldn’t tell me anything about how the wings were prepared beyond that, and seemed genuinely unaware of the issue. Next, the burger. It was bland and underwhelming—more like something you'd expect from a fast food chain, not a sit-down restaurant. Quality was equal to a McDonald’s cheeseburger. To top it off, it was served with a slice of tomato that still had the stem attached, which is just sloppy. The service didn’t help either. We had to ask the waitress multiple times for a water refill, and she seemed more focused on avoiding any further responsibility than actually addressing our concerns. When we mentioned the issue with the wings, she told us she’d speak to the manager about comping them. But when the bill came, the wings were still charged. When we pointed this out, she just said we could talk to the manager ourselves—after telling us it was already “taken care of.”
In the end, it was clear that Midway Cafe either doesn’t care about quality control or simply lacks the systems to properly handle customer complaints. Don’t expect proper service, quality food or cleanliness. Go elsewhere.

We arrived, ordered our drinks and decided to get an appetizer, the cheese bites. When they brought them out, there were hardly any on the plate. For $10.99 I expected to see a lot more than 15 tiny bits. They tasted fine, but the number of them was minuscule. We decided to order our food, I ordered 20 smoked wings, and she ordered a burger and fries. After placing our orders we waited 45 mins for the food to come out. During that time, our waitress never came to refill our waters. When it did, everything appeared okay. I got the pepper honey mustard, and garlic parm. I took a bite, and it tasted as if the wings had been bathing in the ocean for a week. The sauces were fine, but the meat contained a TON of salt. To the point where I couldn’t taste the flavor of the smoke.
My girlfriend ordered a burger and fries. She said, “the burger tasted like a cheap kroger burger patty, but had been over cooked”. Fries were fine. They also placed the ends of the tomato, they even had the stem of the tomato included on the burger.
When I brought the issue with my wings to the waitress’s attention, I asked her to comp it after only eating 4 of them. I was hungry, but just couldn’t stomach the disgusting saltiness of the wings. I would equate the wings taste to opening your mouth in the ocean.
The waitress told me she would get it comped for me. I was happy with the result, and was going to chalk it up to just a bad batch of wings. When she returned with the check, she only took 10 off and not the full 20. She said I’d have to go to the bar to discuss with them even though she told me she’d comp it. At this point I was so fed up that I pulled cash out of my pocket, paid the bill in cash and left. Only paid the bill. The tip I would’ve given the waitress was now going to the food that should’ve been comped.
Overall, I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Stay far away from this place, unless you enjoy terrible food, terrible service, and loud terrible music playing in the background. If I could give this place a 0/5 I would. Extremely disappointed.

Food was great, service and hospitality was excellent. But their bartenders need more schooling. They had no clue how to make your everyday regulars like margaritas.
My waitress Haley was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Made our whole experience awful and uncomfortable. She honestly scares me. The food was 10/10 but the service was a joke!

We had the loveliest lunch today at Midway Cafe in Fort Thomas. I had the Midway Classic and it was absolutely delicious—cooked perfectly and full of flavor. My husband enjoyed his meal just as much, and our daughter, son-in-law, and grandkids all left happy and full. It was such a nice outing for the whole family.
I also have to mention—the beer was really good! Cold, fresh, and a perfect pairing with the meal. My husband even commented that it was one of the best drafts he’s had in a while.
And our server, David, was just wonderful. So sweet, attentive, and had the most beautiful personality. He truly made us feel welcome, like we were guests in his own home.
The whole place had a warm, cozy atmosphere, and we’ll definitely be coming back. Midway Cafe is a real gem.
