The food was not the same as last year. The steak was so fatty and barely could eat it. The mashed potatoes tasted like water. Pecan salmon was great and green beans.
Expected much more based on other reviews. This restaurant is located in a casino/horse racing complex and the ambiance is good. Unfortunately the service and food didn't step up. Thought we might have a fine dining option other than driving to Bowling Green or Nashville. Unfortunately we will have to make the longer trek. The asparagus fries appetizer was the best thing we ordered. Unique presentation and a great dipping sauce. The sides were also very good especially the green beans. However the steaks were a huge disappointment. The quality of the meat was just not good. For the price and the hype this meal was a big letdown.
Filet was under cooked and my old fashion was not very good. Sent it back twice for added bitters and syrup. Last time the drink was very good, different bar tender. Salad was great potato was a little hard
The food and drinks were incredible and the prices we very reasonable for the quality of food.
This was our 4th time eating dinner at the Irons Steakhouse at The Mint Gaming Hall in Franklin, Ky. All four of our dining experiences have been pleasant and enjoyable. Our waitress, Liz, who we've had the past 3 times is very friendly, personable, and proficient with her job, however this last visit she was tending to quite a few tables which seemed to stress her a bit. It did take a little bit of time to get our drinks. The food came out proper and was delicious. Their wine list offers some very fine wines that pairs well with a selection of entree's. We are looking forward to our next visit at the Irons Steakhouse.
We were here 2 weeks ago for my husband's bday. It was so good and we decided to come back for our anniversary. It was even better!!!
The food is excellent. The service by Savannah was terrific. The music was way too loud and it's totally casual dress.
One of our favorite steak houses to visit! Service is generally great and the overall experience is always very nice. Highly recommend!
The food and atmosphere were excellent. We were seated close to the kitchen though and could hear a lot of laughing and talking among the employees. Kind of ruined the ambiance a little bit. Other than that, we enjoyed ourselves.
The prime rib was wonderful but wasn't impressed with the potatoes or corn. Not up to par with prior meals at the Irons

The service here was very good. The restaurant connects to the Casino which allows smoking. The smoke smell carry's heavily into the restaurant. Ordered the filet and asked for very little salt. It was served very salty. The asparagus was over cooked. Mac and cheese was good.
Food was exceptionally salty. Ordered the prime rib (medium rare) expecting nice pinkish red thick cut and got a very thin slice charbroiled and over cooked. Very disappointing. The menu never stated which way it was prepared. Overall the meal was disappointing for celebrating a special occasion. The server Ray was very pleasant and accommodating. Atmosphere very nice but music a bit loud.
Opened at 5. Ordered at 5:30. At 6:30 was advised the ran out of baked potatoes?!? Order delivered at 7:15 and steaks were cold. Great flavor but cold. Been here a dozen times. Don't know what's going on but poor management. Waitress tried and did her best. Not her fault.
Rae, was an amazing server. The cook was having a difficult time making a medium filet.1st one was well done, so I sent it back. 2nd one was medium rare , the flavor was really good though. Mac and cheese was very good as well. We will definitely try this place again.
As always this was a great special occasion dinner. So thankful for a superior quality steakhouse without the Nashville traffic or parking. The Iron never disappoints. The 16 oz boneless ribeye was well seasoned and cooked to a perfect medium rare, just as requested.
