Coppertop Barbecue is well known in the western Kentucky area for its barbecue and all there food. I don't stop in that often, but it's usually a very pleasant place to eat. Try anything on the menu and should be pleased with the food!

Went to Coppertop Barbecue for dinner on Saturday, after checking their Facebook page to make sure of the closing time, which was 8pm. We arrived at 7:20pm, to see a closed sign on the door, but people inside. The door was unlocked, so my boyfriend went inside to check on it. The server told him that they are closed, and he informed her that the Facebook page said that they were opened until 8pm. The waitress then said that they close at 7:30pm, and were out of everything but pork, then a lady that overheard, came from the back, and again said that they are closed, and that they are short on pork also. We weren’t looking to eat at a restaurant that was closed, but how about treating a customer that drove to the restaurant, with a little kindness, and then maybe an apology that they should change the closing time on their Facebook page, instead of treating him like he’s the one in the wrong for coming in when they were closed! He was not rude at all, but was met with two rude women, that instead of apologizing that their Facebook page didn’t have the correct time, and expressing that they were sorry that we drove 20 minutes to eat at their establishment, were very inconsiderate! Had a craving for BBQ and Coppertop Barbecue did NOT DISAPPOINT!! The restaurant is clean and beautiful inside and the staff was amazing to boot.. but the food, the food was phenomenal! Highly recommend
By far the BEST bbq ribs I've had in years. Juicy and so flavorful.My reason for 3 stars was the wait for our food. Granted we were seated at 5 pm on a Saturday. But to wait a full hour for our food was a bit disappointing -- especially as those seated after us kept getting their food.Overall the experience was OK. The sweet tea was top notch. The food was a tad pricey but quality was also top notch so spending $76 for two before tip was understandable.We might come back but there are so many good food options in western Kentucky (i.e., Amazin' Blaze Bar-B-Que in Aurora, The Dinner Bell in Benton, Fast Eddie's Bait & Tackle in Benton or Hutchens BBQ in Benton).We had hoped for a better first experience.

The food is great!!Just don't try to call in an order. You will never get through. I hit redial over a 5 minute period 2 separate days and continuous busy tone. Almost as if they just take the phone off the hook so it will stop ringing.Online ordering would be nice

I don’t recommend. I’ve been there 3 times and didn’t like it. Way too overpriced for the quality of food. Serving food on tiny paper plates and $13 for a loaded baked potato, with hardly any meat on it. Waited over an hour for our food this last time. Won’t be going back.
