Hardee’s – Breakfast Carry-Out Review
📍 South L. Rogers Wells Blvd, Glasgow, KY
Sometimes the best meals come when you least expect them. We walked into Hardee’s that morning planning to dine in, but a sudden DoorDash order pulled us back out. So, we pivoted to carry-out—and let me tell you, it was the right call.
We ordered the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Biscuit Combo with hash browns and a large Mellow Yellow. Total came to $9.95 with tax, and from the moment we parked to the moment we were back in the car? Just under 3.5 minutes. That kind of speed is rare.
Now, about that biscuit…
It was a beautiful dark golden brown, light and flaky with just enough density to hold everything together. The butter was baked in, visible in the layers, and brought warmth and flavor in every bite. The bacon was crisp, deeply flavorful, and perfectly cooked—not too thick, not too thin. The egg was folded, generous, and hung slightly over the edge of the biscuit—adding a soft, warm texture without overwhelming the sandwich. Hash browns were light and crispy, nearly perfect, just a hair shy of fully done—but still tasty. The Mellow Yellow fountain drink was refreshing, starting off strong with that crisp bite, though slightly less bold than its bottled version.
Atmosphere & Service:
Though we didn’t dine in, it’s worth noting the walk-in service was fast, calm, and well-organized, especially considering the restaurant’s main focus is dine-in. The management and crew deserve recognition—they’re running a tight, respectful, and clean operation, and it shows in the food and experience.
Final Thoughts:
If you’re in a hurry but still want something warm, buttery, and satisfying, the Hardee’s breakfast combo hits the mark. It fills you up without feeling heavy and delivers real comfort in every bite.
Do yourself a favor—skip the crowded drive-thru, walk inside, and taste what this crew’s cookin’. They make breakfast worth remembering.

This Hardee’s is very good, probably the second best fast food burger in Glasgow, and the best overall value. Freddy’s has fresher and better quality beef, but their burgers are tiny and expensive. I ordered lunch at this Hardee’s the other day from work, and it was so good that I went back for dinner yesterday and it was even better. The Frisco Burger is very good, the double bacon cheeseburger was way better than a Dave’s Double from Wendy’s, and they’re the only place in town that has a mushroom Swiss burger always on the menu. Plus, they have their curly fries again. Other places fries are bad within 20 minutes, but the curly fries are still tasty and not like cardboard, so you have plenty of time to get them home and eat them. The only negative thing was the Nashville hot chicken tenders, those were bad, but it’s not the employees’ fault, they’re working with a subpar product and a bad Nashville hot recipe. It’s more like a Hendersonville Warm, and it is more of a dry rub. Not something you want. The two employees that were working last night though were great, and the guy was a burger maker from way back. He did such a good job, everything hot and fresh and juicy, even at 8:30 PM.

While no fast food is really good I was disappointed in this sandwich. It needed more pickle and tomato. Especially at the price they charge now. A Superstar, fries, and small lemonade was almost $13.
