We had Patty as our server. I'd had a bad experience here before. She was our server then. It wasn't her fault the first time. This time the service was great, the food was as well. My compliments to them both.

Should be called the Iron Gut! Because you need one to eat here. Worst breakfast I ever had! There was 5 other people with me and they agreed.

Iron Skillet is inside the Petro and is generally very good. The ladies serving are all very nice. Unless you're an "A" hole, then they can get right back in your face.

"I was really looking forward to trying the Iron Skillet in Glendale, KY, but unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be desired. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that the restaurant was understaffed. Even though it wasn’t particularly busy, we had to wait quite a while just to be seated, and it took even longer for our server to come to the table to take our order. Throughout the meal, the service remained slow and inattentive, with empty drink glasses sitting for too long and requests for extra condiments being forgotten.

As for the food, it was equally disappointing. The menu, while offering some classic options, felt limited, and the quality just wasn’t there. My burger was overcooked, and the sides tasted like they’d been sitting under a heat lamp for too long—dry, flavorless, and underseasoned. The portion sizes were smaller than expected, especially for the price we paid, making the meal feel like poor value for the money. My dining partner’s meal was no better; their chicken was bland and the vegetables tasted canned rather than fresh.

The one redeeming quality of the Iron Skillet was its rustic, cozy atmosphere, which gives off that charming, small-town vibe. However, a nice atmosphere can only go so far when the service is slow and the food fails to impress. Overall, I left feeling disappointed and frustrated, especially after spending so much time waiting. I doubt I’ll be back anytime soon."

I think truckers keep quiet about this place. It's out of the way, but worth the stop
