😊Thank you again! Family and Friends enjoying each other with delicious food!
Our family has been coming here since it opened years ago! This restaurant is everything, and please save room for dessert!
Delicious food, all homemade. Good ole down home cookin’! Service was excellent! Love the small town, traditional feel of the Whistle Stop. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

I’m willing to say that this very well might be the best home cooking restaurant in Kentucky. The restaurant is surrounded by a quaint but cute downtown area. The establishment itself is full of charm, exactly what you’d expect from a small town restaurant. The food quite literally couldn’t have been any better. Everything was delicious, the horseradish sauce with the fried green tomatoes was one of my favorites though. I live over an hour away, and I’m already looking forward to my next meal with you all. Staff was very friendly and accommodating as well.
Wonderful staff accommodated our large group. The food was phenomenal and highly suggest the fried green tomatoes.

Just a few minutes off I-65, a little place beside the road (Main street) with a history, lots of "stuff" to see, and food you are guaranteed to love!

Fantastic restraunt the isn't that far off the main road! Well worth the slight detour. Food was fantastic and and the servers wonderful. I had the cast iron cooked pork chop with came with au jus that it was cooked in and it was amazing! I paired it with there perfectly cooked tater tots and applesauce with a slice of sugar cream pie foe desert.

Outstanding restaurant that serves home cooked comfort food and delicious baked goods! My friend and I happened to be passing through Glendale and found this gem. Great shrimp & grits, and the pork chop was great. The coconut meringue pie and sugar cream pie were fantastic! Everyone there was so nice : )

Stopped for lunch and to take in the history, food was amazing. Husband and I had the Kentucky Hot Brown and Open Faced Roast Beef. Great Quality of food and Quantity for your money. We both had lunch for under $40 🚂

I don't think they need any help but I just wanted to post my review. We went for my mother-in-law's birthday August 24, 2025 and it was just absolutely amazing. The food was 🤤 DELICIOUS . I just don't know how to explain it. It was like I'm speechless about how good it was and you got a lot of food and it was just so such a great atmosphere. It reminded me of kind of where I'm from after I moved to the big city so I love it. We will go back. I am from Bath County Kentucky.
Great service. Extensive menu with southern faves & inspired dishes. Quaint rustic old building adjacent to railway tracks (heard the loud warning horns three times while we dined). Server was extra friendly & knowledgeable. They bring out a fresh warm loaf of delicious bread after guests are seated. The passages, booths and bathrooms may be tight on space for folks requiring extra room for mobility. Our wait time at midday on Saturday was not bad — 15-20 minutes.
