I got the smoked meatloaf on mashed potatoes. The meatloaf was amazing, but the gravy was a little too sweet for my preference. It was also spicy. If I order it again, I will ask for the gravy (more like a sauce) on the side. It came with French fries and fried onion rings. I thought the menu board said it came with Brussels sprouts, which would have been a much more welcome side than potatoes times 2.
If you’re looking for a wide variety of good food in a unique atmosphere, you have to try the HCBC.
With everything from delicious salads, to smoked bologna, to burger of the month (and all the regulars too), to a ribeye dinner, to bourbon glazed chicken and then some, there’s something for everyone. They even make the veggies enjoyable to eat (sweet potato fries, grilled brussel sprouts, …)! The food is made to order and is made to be enjoyed.

Had an amazing lunch feature (smoked meatloaf) chef grant did a great job preparing this wonderful dish that fits Harlan just right. Sky and her team has done a great job with the atmosphere and Harlan co is lucky to have them.
